I went here on Saturday 2/21/26. I was told the wait would be 30 minutes. I happily waited to be seated because I’d been here many times before and enjoyed the food. I ordered my food about 5 minutes after being seated. I never could have expected that I would wait almost 2 HOURS for my food. When I spoke with the manager at the 1.5 hour mark about how I was dissatisfied with the service and the lack of transparency about what the true wait would be, he vented to me about how all the customers were waiting and how they need more workers. When I asked if he would be discounting the meal or doing anything else to rectify the poor experience he said all he could do was cancel the order. It was around 9PM. Where would I go at 9 on a Saturday night to eat good food? And why would I go home hungry after waiting almost 2 hours here? I ate my food which was very tasty, but the experience was awful. I paid full price for my food and tipped the server well, but I am unlikely to return after being treated this way. When you go out to eat you’re paying for the food and the service/experience. Tonight the service was a nightmare.

The service was awful. It took her a while to even take our order. Then my dude got his soup before we even got drinks. The soup was supposed to be gumbo and it tasted like chicken and rice soup. And it was luk warm. We had to get the waiter attention for our drinks by that time my dude soup was done. But that was dirty giving someone spicy soup with no drinks. We were there for a half hr before we even got drinks. Then they gave my dude the wrong order. It took us a while to get her attention to fix that. Meanwhile I still had nothing to eat. Then they put the tip in the check no matter if we liked it or not. She didn’t deserve no kind of tip. I will not be going back unless I do take out.

We entered the restauraunt at 7PM and were told a 10-15 minute wait. We were seated at 7:30. We sat at the table without any introduction or anyone even stopping for another 20 minutes. We were ready to order right away so we placed our food, drink and appetizer order at the same time. We never saw the server again and so 2 hours later we had to ask for a food update and were told after waiting and hour and a half we would be waiting an additional 20 minutes at least. We watched other patrons that came in when we came in get their food, eat, pay and leave and we were told another twenty minutes. It was the straw that broke the camels back. We were there for a low key birthday dinner and had additional plans after. To add insult to injury they charged us $6.40 for the two sodas we drank while waiting. This is normally a wonderful place but today was not it. Next time if there is a wait just skip it save yourself 6 bucks.

HORRIBLE. Waited almost if not 2 HOURS for my food to come out. My ramen and corn was soggy and squishy and so was the other bags at the table. The lady server Jessie never came back, never acknowledged us, we had to ask for everything including wipes. The times we did call her over, we were ignored. To top it off, we asked for her to get the manager and he blew us off, when we walked up to him he was very rude.Very horrible service. Won’t be coming back. (And please don’t delete this or corporate will handle it)

The atmosphere was very relaxed and clean, this is said to be the same owner from Island Avenue in Philadelphia….they moved to this location The waitress was pleasant and attentive, she was great, but the food was a little different, overall it’s worth the price and I would definitely go back again.

My favorite location was shut down, this is a good replacement. It’s BYOB, so if you’re on a date, please stop at the wine and spirits in that same shopping center (near Ross). The crabs are always fresh and good. The servers are very kind and it has always been clean, (with a handwriting station outside the bathroom in case you’re eating and get messy.

I’ve been to other Ocean Crab locations, but this was our first time at Ocean Crab City Ave. We went late in the afternoon and around the holiday, so it was crazy trying to get parking, but once you’re inside it’s a chill atmosphere. Luckily there weren’t many people in there and we were seated right away.
We got the shrimp basket and scallop basket, both with sweet potato fries….a order of garlic bread(2 pieces), a side of corn on the cob(3 pieces) and a 1/2 lb side of sausages.
Also an order of snow crab legs with headless shrimp. I did ask for it to be mild with the Ocean Special (which is Cajun, butter garlic and lemon pepper) but I didn’t taste much of that. Since I got the medium level of heat before and that made my eyes water, so I thought the mild would be better and still have some flavor/kick to it, but it didn’t.
And for dessert was a key lime pie and cheesecake. The key lime was good and the cheesecake was good, but very small….like they cut the slice in half.
Overall, the food was good and out waiter was nice and attentive.

This was a great experience, especially for my mom. It was her 82nd Birthday and we celebrated with a Bang of a Day! She loves, Seafood and they did not disappoint us! Mussels, Fish and Fried rice were Excellent. I had the Seafood Boil Pot! It was Great! Brother, had Spaghetti and he devoured it all.
