We had a fantastic time celebrating 2 birthdays in our family here. Great selections of seafood with some extremely rare options like lobster and snails. The sushi was fresh and beautifully crafted. The dim sum items were actually the highlight of this place with some scrumptious options like the salted egg black baos. And thank you for the crew for celebrating our birthdays too, they all came over with festive decorated desserts and sing happy birthday to our table. Very cool! We ll definitely come back

Came here for Sunday lunch buffet. Priced at approximately $30 per person, I think it was worth it for the quality of food that you’re getting. Better selection of food than your usual Asian buffet. Quality is better too, especially the sushi. Bathrooms are clean. Decor and ambience is nice.

Would love to see tables being wiped after each customer sits down. Also, I noticed that the roast beef carving station was unmanned every time I went up there. I couldn’t get a slice since no one was there to serve it.

They have a large selection of sushi and it’s great!! The food was delicious as well. They have everything to choose from…. Seafood, chicken, pork, meat. I only have one negative really. The whole fried shrimp wasn’t up to par. You can tell it was bad because the shrimp was mushy and tasted funny. Service was ok, the waitress did what she was suppose to do and just to inform you guys tips are already added to your bill so any tip you leave is additional. I loved the atmosphere, it was nice. We decided to go there as they opened because we thought it wouldn’t be crowded but we was wrong. That place was packed. Overall we enjoyed our visit and the food was good. We will be going back again.

Amazing buffet! Presentation is great, plenty of room in space. Very clean throughout the entire restaurant. Excellent flavor and taste!Reminds me of all the breakfast buffets in China and how big of a variety you get!! Highly recommend.

The price for the meal may seem a little high, but once you see the HUGE variety of food they have, you realize it’s really fair! The food is great quality and it all tastes so good you’ll want to come back as soon as you can! I was able to find all of my favorites here and they all tasted soooo good. Great music choices in the background as well! Most are recognizable! Praying my mom takes me back soon! – The Daughter

I’ve been waiting for this place to open for a bit, so I was excited when I learned they finally were. First, I like that the check-in process is super easy. You just scan the QR code and they keep you posted with a text. Simple.

The place is spacious and even the front has a lot of potential to add on to. A lot of the food was fresh and the quality was good, while some dishes (a few here and there) were mediocre it was few and far between. The food on average was better than most buffets and they offer a lot of selection in terms of sushi, sashimi, and seafood. They even have stone crabs, snow crabs, lobsters, and crawfish! Usually buffets desserts are a fail for my family and I, but they actually had a quite a few that were pretty decent.

It would be nice once they get their soda equipment set up and running, but for now they offer sweet and unsweet tea, lemonade, and water.

In terms of service, I didn’t find any issues with the service. The staff were efficient and they were clearing off the plates we were done with rather quickly!

I’d definitely be going back again.

Surprisingly good!!! Huge buffet, large selection of really tasty food. Seems super clean, new, great selection of sushi, sashimi, nigiri, dumplings, Chinese food, etc… Only things that weren’t great were the crab legs which were previously frozen and the crab meat was stuck to the shells. Also the dessert was mehhh… But all in all, a great value for all you can eat for $32 I took a picture of my plate half way through when I remembered. ‍♀️

Tested this newly opened spot. It’s your typical Chinese buffet spread. My favorite part is the sushi section and the hibachi. They also have a carving station, dimsum and raw bar. Of course everything is shiny and clean. Service was great and staff were friendly. $17 for lunch and $32 for dinner. Crabs and raw bar is during dinner menu only which starts at 3:30pm.

Maybe the best value buffet I’ve ever been to! Went during lunch hours on a Friday and it was only $17.99 for AYCE! They had TONS of different delicious and attractive sushi rolls to choose from (including many with cream cheese), and all of them were freshly made! I also love that they have a roast beef carving station and a dim sum station, which even had black & gold custard buns, one of my personal favorites! The dessert area was a bit lacking, but I was so happily full from all the sushi that I didn’t really mind. I will definitely be back here again!

Let me start by saying that I did not have high expectations for this restaurant. After seeing the “Opening Soon” sign plastered across the facade for nearly a year before they opened, my boyfriend and I wondered if Ocean Buffet would ever actually open, and if they would stay open for long once they unlocked their doors. We were so intrigued by this restaurant’s fate that it became a small joke in our relationship, which we brought up every time we drove past it, with its perpetual promise of being open in the nondescript “soon” time. But eventually, our sarcastic curiosity stopped being a joke, and became genuine excitement for the day this restaurant would finally open its doors to an apparently very eager public. After doing a little research on what Ocean Buffet offers, pictures of the interior, and pricing, the thought of sitting down to a prodigious maritime meal became more and more exciting. We decided on a date that we would make our trek to OB, nestled amid the finest eateries: Del Taco, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Orlando’s Crown Jewel establishment, Olive Garden. We picked out our outfits, made a game plan for how to get the most for our money, and prepared to gorge by fasting the entire day of our meal. Finally, like Christmas, the day of our excursion to Ocean Buffet arrived.

We walked up and were nervous that we wouldn’t be seated, due to there being a line out the door and a huddled mass of other guests around the host stand. But, we checked in using a QR code and returned to the car, where we waited to receive a text notifying us that a table was ready. The staff were professional and attentive.

My boyfriend and I both indulged in 3 courses, mainly focusing on the fresh options and as few fried foods and carbs as possible, to save room in our stomachs. I’m a little bit of a snob about sushi, and I felt like all of the sushi on the buffet line was of high quality, which surprised me. Sushi sitting on a buffet line strikes me as having real potential for food-borne illness, but all of the pieces I had were cold and fresh-tasting. I even tried some pieces I’d never had before, including Saba (mackerel) sashimi and gunkanmaki (a nori roll wrapped around fish roe and a rice base).

For our second course, we ventured away from sushi (what we mainly came to the restaurant to try), and had their shrimp with cocktail sauce and raw oysters. Both were very good.

For the third course, we ventured even farther from our base and tried more from the hot bar, which was the only area we were not totally impressed by; we thought a few of the items, like the green beans and Japanese chicken, didn’t look very good sitting on the line, and did not taste as high-quality as most of the fresh tastings. They do have a plentiful selection of what we called the “picky eater section,” like a lot of Chinese buffets: fries, BBQ ribs, plantains, and cheesy seafood, to name a few. Next to the hot bar, we picked up some soup dumplings, which were pretty scrumptious. Look for them between the pig trotters and chicken feet.

We both finished up with a dessert plate. I got fruit, which was, again, bizarrely good. It was all ripe but firm, and not swimming in mush or juices. My boyfriend got a strawberry mousse, which he said was just OK.

There are definitely some corporate/chain vibes here, like the fact that a lengthy, rap-esque “Happy Birthday” song plays over the loud speakers for the entire restaurant to hear when someone is celebrating their birthday there. We came on a Saturday night and heard this song 3 times in an hour and a half. Cheesy song aside, it was nice to get to be a part of other people celebrating their birthday.

If you’ve read this far, you probably get the idea that the theme of our visit to Ocean Buffet was being repeatedly surprised by how good it was. We were genuinely impressed by the quality of the offerings, and I woke up today excited to write this review to rave about our special date night on the high seas.
