We’re out-of-towners and have had numerous opportunities to try crab cakes, as well as many other related dishes. We were very pleased to taste their crab soup and found it unbelievable with its giant lumps of crab in it. The picture shown reflects just that. Additionally, their crab cakes were beyond description. I made sure to tear my crab cake apart to see just how much filler would be hidden in it, and as you can see from the attached pics, very little to none. Again, the chunks were awesome . We highly recommend UC Uptown Eats for both locals and tourists. Also, try many of their other offerings on their menue. This is a great little local spot with some of the best crab cakes I’ve had in a long time. They’re full of real crab meat, nicely seasoned, and cooked just right — crispy on the outside and tender inside. You can tell they care about the quality of the food.
The staff is friendly and welcoming, which really adds to the experience. It’s a small place with a comfortable, relaxed vibe. If you’re in the area and enjoy crab cakes, this place is definitely worth a try.

The Tea
The best crab cake I’ve ever had! You can’t miss this place if you’re in the area. The JJ sandwich is everything that you could ever want and more in a sandwich. We also enjoyed the crab chowder and a peanut butter bomb for dessert. Everything was incredibly delicious. I’ll be thinking about this meal for a while!

Chubby Alert…this place is absolutely a gem in OC. Highly recommend the food. Everything we got was amazing.
Husband got a bacon ribeye wrap with grill onions, mushrooms and provolone cheese. It was thick and meaty and a sexy wrap like it suppose to be.
My kid got a large chicken Parm house special sandwich. The chicken parm was massive with soft and crunchy bread, homemade marina sauce and chucks of perfectly cut chicken and gooey yummy mozzarella cheese on top fitted in small size pizza box.
Mother in law got a small ribeye steak and with America cheese and it was massive. It was meaty and juicy. They packed the beef in that sandwich.
I had the mermaid with a crab cake broiled and fried flounder. The fried flounder was so crispy on the outside and soft and flakey in the middle. I love the homemade tartar sauce which was so good with chunks of horse radish. The coleslaw was crunchy and not overly drowning in dressing. The crab cake was broiled and it had very little filler. It was so meaty with crab every bite.
Now we ordered 8oz cream of crab, however, the owner personally told me that he did not like the consistency of his soup and was not going to charge us for the soup. He gave us cream crab soup with extra crab in the cup. The soup was so delicious without the thickness. I love the honesty and his integrity for his food. The owner is down to earth, takes pride, big heart and love into his food. The mans art is his food and you can tell by the way he cares. This is WIN for me!! This will be our new place in OC for now on.

*2025 update: stopped by during my trip to OC again this year and the food was still just as delicious. Fried oysters are an absolute must and just as tasty as I remembered from my visit last year
Stopped by this establishment for some lunch before leaving OC and am super glad I did. Ordered the fried oysters and the soft shell crab sandwich for takeout. The fried oysters were some of the most plump and delicious fried oysters I’ve ever had and the cocktail sauce that came along with it was very flavorful without overpowering the oysters. The soft shell crab sandwich with crabcake was also packed with meat. The owner was very pleasant and I could tell they care deeply about their food in conversation!

We visited OC from NJ and were thankful to find Uptown Eats open even in the middle of winter. We ordered the JJ and Tom Tom sandwiches as well as the fried oysters. This was easily one of the best softshell crab sandwiches I’ve ever had. They hand make every crab cake fresh for your order. The fried oysters were perfect and my wife loved the Tom Tom cheesesteak sandwich and said it was definitely on par with those from Philly. Eric the owner was great, super nice guy that’ll chat with you while you wait and didn’t even want payment until after we finished eating! We’ll definitely be back when we visit OC.

Best. Food. Ever. If you are in Ocean City this place is a MUST STOP. Best cheesesteak *not pictured* ive ever had even warmed up later. The crabcake was incredible. No filler packed with flavor. The cream of crab soup was filled with lump crabmeat in every bite. The chicken parm sub is a masterpiece. Everything about this place was 1000/10. You can tell the food is made is great care and love and WELL WORTH THE WAIT! The owners are friendly and hilarious! Overheard a story of a group the drove 4 HOURS just to try it and I definitely understand why. You have got to try OC Uptown Eats.

The place is small so we ate in the car. Idk if the clerk was the cook or if there was someone else back there, but there was some Doctor Jeckle and Mr. Hyde bipolar discussions in the kitchen worthy of a netflix series.

I had the buffalo chicken wrap, fiance had the crab cake sandwich (best in OC). both were absolutely delicious and SO fresh, the owners/staff are so friendly and honestly made us feel like family. Whenever we vacation here again, we will be back!! thank you Eric for the hospitality!!!! we don’t get crab this good back in Ohio
