Obsidian Brewery began with a shared dream, a lot of heart, and the belief that good beer can bring people together in powerful ways. The idea started brewing back in 2017 when Michael Kenneth Doggett—known to most as Doggett—fell in love with the craft beer world. Alongside his friend and future business partner Safir, the two spent years working, learning, and quietly dreaming of building a place of their own. A place where flavor, fun, and community could thrive.

Came upon this brewery while in Leander. Great selection of beer and food! Wings, pretzel and The Brat were awesome. The Chabaca stout and Where’s my tape measure were my picks for their beer! Well done, well done!

We each had the lunch special – good deal! 2 beers and a 2-topping pizza for $20. Really enjoyed both the pizza and beers and service was quick and friendly. Nice atmosphere; we ate on the patio. I appreciate that they have a full bar for times when I don’t feel like beer. Definitely coming back!

I really enjoyed this place! It’s kind of off the beaten path in a shopping mall area but really good ambience. The bratwurst was amazing the sauerkraut add mustard with so amazing! The entire place does not have pickles which made it very weird to get a bratwurst with no pickles but overall I had a good experience. I did get some chicken wings ask for him well done, they were pretty burnt but edible. Overall 4.3 out of 5! Would go again for sure

brought my non drinking mom here. tried to get her to drink a espresso martini, nope. so i drank it! twas great. had the GMC hazy IPA and that was really good and hazy the flavor was great! we had the arugula salad, some thi curry wings and meat heater pizza. food was great. would come back again. and the service was also great. lots of locals young and older folks.

Drink selection and staff knowledge of the different brews on tap were astounding. Food (honey buffalo wings) was excellent. Atmosphere was welcoming, laid back, and easy going. Staff members went out of their way to ensure patrons were taken care of. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a sunny afternoon on the patio. I ordered the arugula-topped pizza with balsamic glaze. Their mocktail was not only delicious but beautifully presented. Staff were friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back. A hidden gem worth checking out!

The beer and cocktails are fantastic. The Thai Fighter pizza is a must try. I didn’t really care for the La Birria pizza (too much pepper and not enough cheese). The hot wings had a lot fat and vein not very much meat, and the recipes were too complex. Too many flavors trying to greet each other.

Hey there! Obsidian Brewery is a really great spot. The bartenders are friendly, the drinks are great and the environment is nice. The food was mediocre and they were out of alot of items. We had the chicken bacon Ranch pizza, which was pretty tasty. Unfortunately, it took about 10 additional minutes for our wings to arrive. We ordered the hot honey buffalo wings. They are not fried they are baked (just a fyi). They lacked flavor.
There is plenty of seating, and the rr is clean. We enjoyed hanging out and will be back for some great drinks and beer.

This is way more than good pizza and cocktails although they do both so well. The atmosphere and the story behind it are both sweet and touching. The service is always great and the atmosphere is chill. What keeps us coming back every week is for sure THE best pizza but also the people. If you’re looking for consistently good food and an overall great experience, this is the place!

When they changed to Obsidian, everything improved for the better. We have probably been here 30+ times, and EVERY SINGLE TIME it’s just as good as the last. The staff, the food, the drinks, all top notch. We will be coming here for a long time to come. It is truly one of the best places in Leander you can go for a good time, good food and good drinks.
