Food was amazing! Staff was helpful with menu suggestions and just really welcoming and friendly. Ruben soup and Goulash soup were flavorful. Schnitzel were cooked to perfection. Daughter was in Germany/Austria this summer and said the food helped take her back and was authentic to the region. Finished with the Apple Streudel which was warm and wonderful! Thank you for the hospitality. We will be back.

Tasty food. Oktoberfest beer, goulash soup and Schnitzel Art Des Hauses were all delicious. Brought my 2 yr old and she liked the Cheese Spaetzle. Way too much food for her so plenty of leftovers.

I have been searching the country for a german crispy pork shank. Chris and his staff offer a weekly special 21oz very crispy pork shank. It was truly special and tasted fantastic. It was baked too perfection. My wife loved the Oscar schnitzel, and my daughter loves their Rahm schnitzel. Their salmon is a work of art also, and that sauce is rich in flavor.

My husband, sister and I came to Appleton for the Caskey show hosted here. The food looked amazing so we decided to have dinner. Hands down best German cuisine around!! Beautifully presented, authentic ingredients, knowledgeable staff. We had a very personalized experience, chit chatted with the owner. He did a great job hosting the artists as well. Everything was perfect!

Incredibly delicous, authentic German food. Food comes out piping hot and perfectly cooked. My Grandma was from Bavaria and I grew up on a lot of spaetzle, maltauschen, and schnitzel. This is the closest I’ve had to that without leaving the states.
My boyfriend and I went out last night to celebrate his birthday, and they made it extra special! From the complimentary pretzels, delicious meal, to the strudel they brought out with a candle, everything was perfect. Service was also very fast, even though we ordered quite a bit and we came during happy hour rush. I’d blink and another plate would come out.

Thoroughly enjoyed the excellent German sampler meal, which includes schnitzel, a pork shank, a bratwurst, and a meatball at OB’s downtown Appleton. Everything was well prepared and delicious. The sampler is served with soup, a breadstick, and spaetzel as well. The star of the show, however, was the giant pretzel appetizer accompanied by whipped butter and cheese sauce. The perfect texture inside and out made it completely delectable. I amped up the excellent cheese curds by running them through some mushroom gravy. Don’t sleep on the red cabbage either because the vinegar in it balances well with the rich meats. The place is a bit upscale with moody lighting. Don’t let the fact that it becomes a music club late at night deter you. The ambiance is fine, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Of course, they serve liter steins of delicious beer, too. Prost!

Amazing owners who described their dishes so well our party of 6 were completely satisfied with everything ordered. They went above and beyond. Food was fantastic! Highly recommend jaeger schnitzel and Rueben soup so delicious. You won’t be disappointed. Plan a dinner soon!!

We have been going here for years. The beer and food are amazing as well as great service. Highly recommend: Schnitzel Oscar with a side of spaetzel, the Beer Battered Haddock on Friday and for beer: love the Pilsner, Lager and Hefeweizen! This restaurant is a must!
