We were craving some Japanese food and wow this didn’t disappoint. Luckily we got an outside table as it was a Saturday night with no reservation. The food was delicious, ordered duck bao, prawn tacos, salmon skewer, bang bang noodle and volcano sushi – they were all flavoursome, fresh and the food came quick. Staff are really friendly and helpful with recommendations. Atmosphere on the Saturday night with live music just added to the experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at OBI Japanese Fusion. From the moment we arrived until the end of the evening, everything was simply perfect.
The cocktails were excellent, beautifully prepared and full of flavour, and the food was outstanding from start to finish. Every dish was fresh, creative, and presented with great attention to detail.
What really made the evening special, however, was our server Lisa. Her service was exceptional — attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. She made us feel completely taken care of throughout the whole meal. Honestly, I’ve never experienced service this good anywhere in Malta.
If you’re looking for an incredible dining experience with amazing food, great cocktails, and truly top-class service, this place is an absolute must. We will definitely be back!

OBI Japanese Fusion was an excellent spot for dinner. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating- we sat outside and enjoyed the perfect weather. The food was delicious, service went above expectations, and the overall vibe was great. I’d definitely come back and recommend it. Wish we were staying longer because I could go for that sushi again!

We found this place by Googling for sushi nearby. We ordered three sushi sets, one main course, three starters, and sparkling water, with the total bill coming to €100.
The tempura was good. One of our buns was broken and didn’t seem steamed enough, but the other was good. The sushi was solid-I’d give it a 7 out of 10, which is good for Malta, especially compared to places like Dubai.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the place was clean, and we appreciated that the music wasn’t too loud. A good experience overall.

Holy mackerel this place is the bomb. The decor and ambience is very cool and interesting. The presentations of the food and drinks are top tier. I had the waygu burger and it was delicious. The sushi is exquisite as well. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. It is a bit on the pricier side but well worth the money due to the high quality and very good service.

Very good restaurant, with tasty food and very good service. Food taste is great but portions are small compared to other sushi or asian fusion restaurants. We ordered Edamame for starters which was too small, 20 pcs for 5€ is overpriced, bowl was half empty (picture attached, picture taken when Edamame came to table). Music was too loud and off asian/japanese atmosphere, it was more like in tha club, which you dont expect in the restaurant at all. Everything else was as described on reviews and tastes were very good.

This place was the best restaurant we dined in during our recent Malta vacation. Thanks to all the positive reviews online, we gave it a try and it did not disappoint. I also love the fact that you can reserve online, which is always a huge plus in my opinion.
Their food is absolutely delicious, nicely presented, service attentive and friendly and the overall atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated. From the outside you would not expect a restaurant like that inside.
We had the prawn tacos and beef bao buns for starters and inhaled them. They were that good Afterwards, we ordered a 16 piece sushi platter with their signature roll and truffle egg noodles, and both dishes were fabulous.
Highly recommend this restaurant while in St. Julian’s and would go back in a heartbeat.

Pleasant decor and ambient music, friendly and helpful staff, but the real winner of the night is the food. 10/10 accross the board, from starters to mains to desert. Highly recommend it!
