We got 2 come off ice cream. It was $14. That’s kind of a lot. I got a chocolate caramel crunch, and my wife got a chocolate donut. They were ok. Not great. A lot of ice crystals in it. But the cones were terribly stale. We ate our ice cream and thought we’d mention the stale cones to the manager. As soon as she came out, she was exasperated. No, I’m sorry about that or anything. Just I guess I’ll refund the cones. That’s fine. She couldn’t figure it out, so she refunded the whole thing. I guess she was trying to resolve the issue, so we left a good tip for the employees who are stuck with a manager that obviously doesn’t want to be there.

I had the taste for some coconut ice cream and called Oberweis in Ballwin to see if they had this flavor. The person I spoke with told me they carried it in the freezer case prepackaged. When I arrived I found out that the only coconut ice cream they carried was Coconut Chocolate Almond. Disappointed and in shock that a quart of their ice cream was $10 I walked out. My wife who was sitting in the car insisted I go back and buy the quart because we had not found any coconut ice cream in any grocery store and wanted to give their coconut chocolate almond a try. Thanks to her we gave it a try and it was delicious. Not what I wanted and still prefer – but very tasty.

Oberweis is delightful! As soon as you enter the building a sweet smell of real ice cream made from pure milk goes through your nose. Their ice cream is sweet and creamy and is very different from store bought ice cream. Not only that the varieties of different ice cream on the menu is vigorous. Oberweis has a fridge for you to grab and go and even a dine in. Definitely 5 star ice cream.

Oberweis is a mark for great ice creams. One of the best ice creams. Also, instead of paper cups they use glass bowls in this store. It makes the presence beautiful.
