The Banana Royale has noticeably shrunk. We ordered one last night. It used to come with three full scoops on a real plate; now it’s served in a cheap plastic container with about half the ice cream. Feels like a big downgrade. My wife was wondering if the servers had made a mistake.
I’d be willing to pay extra for a regular size serving. I think the new owners are trying to get more money but give you half of what they used to serve. They’ve gone Walmart style. Not a good way to make customers come back, especially those who have stopped by year after year.

This location is the worst. Miserable staff serving stingy portions and at one point they even refused to put a chocolate stick in my soft serve (that I had paid for). It’s also dirty.

The ice cream here is fantastic. The few times I have been here in the Fall, there never seems to be a long wait which is nice. The employees are also friendly.
Update – When I visited this location in the Summer the line was very long. The ice cream was still great but, waiting 15-20 minutes for ice cream isn’t worth it.
Update – their serving sizes have gotten ridiculous for the price. Not worth going here any longer. Unfortunately caught it when we were already at home.

This looks like an old school soda shoppe but everything is modern and clean. Prices are okay and the staff is friendly.
Coffee ice cream for me, butter pecan ice cream for her. Both were good, but not great. Nowhere near as good as Santa Barbara’s McConnells, but nothing is so that isn’t a fair comparison.
According to Google they also own the That Burger Joint and Woodgrain Pizzeria chains. That doesn’t really change anything, I just thought it was interesting.

They have delicious ice cream and the staff was so friendly. We werent sure what flavor to pick, and the workers were glad to reccomend flavors to us. Definitely pricier, but still creamy and delicious. I would recommend the peanut butter cookie dough for sure! The line was short and we got served right away. Also, they give big scoops which is nice.

When I’ve been in this neighborhood, I have noticed crowds of kids roaming around this ice cream cafe. Even though I’m not a big fan of ice cream I’ve decided to try it. I wasn’t disappointed. Ice Cream very fresh and have strong milk flavor – it is delicious and not too sweet. And smoozy was with plenty of fruit- not crashed ice with syrup.

They refused to serve my sundae in a regular dish with a regular spoon and laughed at me when I called them on it. Why create garbage unnecessarily? A bunch of very irresponsible young people work here at a very slow pace. This is the last time that I will visit. Time to shut this place down or upgrade significantly on customer service.
