This was an AMAZING little spot. Not only great portions for cost, it was a very pleasant atmosphere, the staff were amazing. Sonya was amazing! This is a must-go to little restaurant. I say 5-stars all around and highly recommend this place. The food had layers and layers of complexion and flavor- every bite you could taste everything in it. See photos for the plates. PS: the teas are to die for; Phenomenal! Thank you so much for amazing service and amazing food!

My husband and I tried Obento today and were amazed at how truly good the food is! The service was amazing, the server was so nice and food came out very quickly. It was a great amount of food for the price and it was so, so good. We will definitely be back! The only thing I can think of at all to maybe suggest would be a different to-go box that can separate your food items similar to the bento boxes maybe so it’s easier to take home leftovers without them all getting mixed together. This place was amazing!!

ETA: I went back today and did the sweet and spicy chicken and it was excellent! The soup had more flavor and again, that crab tempura is to die for! I also got the dumplings and they were very good!
This place is just off New Salem Hwy. It is very clean and the waitresses are SO sweet! The service is quick. I truly enjoyed the ginger salad. It was so amazing that we bought a pint of the dressing. The rice is nice and fluffy and the crab tempura is AMAZING!!! I can’t stop thinking about how good that was. They give huge portions that one person can’t possibly eat all of. I did the teriyaki chicken and it was good, but the teriyaki was pretty bland/ not flavorful. Overall I can’t wait to go back and try a different dish and get that crab tempura again.

Wish I would have found this place sooner! The food is so good and fresh! Some of the best bento I have had! The staff were also super friendly and I can’t wait to try the sister company Oishiya. You can tell they care about the food they put out to customers! Lastly it is such a great relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be back many times in the future; I think we found a new favorite!

We found Obento by accident while on a road trip—we were just looking for coffee, but a map error led us here instead. The staff went out of their way to help us find a coffee spot, but since everything nearby was closed, we decided to stay. And I’m so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the place smelled amazing, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made us change our plans and try their food.
I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! The food was incredibly tasty and brought back the exact flavors I experienced when I was in Japan. The hospitality was just as amazing—Valina and Becca were both so kind and professional. Valina took the time to explain the menu to us, making our experience even better. If you ever have the chance to try their food, don’t miss it!

OMG!!!!! This place was FANTASTIC. Everything looked so good it was hard to decide. I landed on the Spicy Chicken which was just the right spicy, Tempura Crab which was the BEST thing ever and then you get yummy soup, a salad with the best homemade Ginger dressing you could drink and FLUFFY rice and mixed veggies… so bring your appetite! I’m so excited that’s it’s close to my home cause I plan on trying the whole menu!!! But it’s worth driving across town to eat here
