Something changed, the owner or the chef. Quality definitely went down.
Small dining area to seat up to eight. Air conditioning, nice atmosphere and music. Free WiFi, credit cards accepted.
Sign up for their loyalty program by entering your telephone number. Each Bahn mi purchase earns a point. After ten points, you earn a free Bahn mi sandwich. Good for a light meal or snack.
This time, we were committed…..and…..totally worth it.
My spouse is Vietnamese, and as she says, a bahnmi snob.
We ordered the deluxe house classic and the beef bahnmi.
As a non Vietnamese civilian, I thought they were excellent. The bread was perfectly toasted, and each sandwich had a ton of meat and fixings. Good size and delicious.
My spouse gave her stamp of approval as a bahnmi expert and said they were excellent as well.
They also have Vietnamese coffee and bubble tea which looked good but was too late in the day for me to have one.
Inside is a small seating area for maybe 10 people, Max. Clean, nothing fancy. They seem to do a lot of food deliver, so you can probably find them on Skip or Uber.
Street parking out front which you have to pay.
We parked at Richmond public market and walked over.
Will go back and recommended.

I’ve had bánh mì from Obanh Mi before—both the Richmond and Vancouver locations—and remembered it being good. Unfortunately, this time was a complete letdown. I ordered the Classic and the Chicken, and both were terrible from top to bottom.
The bun was subpar, the fillings were bland, and the essential pickled daikon and carrots were warm and barely pickled—totally missing that crisp, tangy punch that makes a bánh mì special. The Classic had barely any pâté and tasted lifeless. The Chicken was even worse—my husband’s half had fatty chicken skin in it, and the meat had no flavor.
With so many great places to get bánh mì these days, this one just isn’t worth it anymore. Disappointing all around.
I also order often for take out on work days as it is a quick, economical and tasty lunch.
I ordered the #7 Deluxe Classic and #8 Classic. Both were very good. Just simple, good ingredients done right.
The baguettes were light, airy and crispy. Pickles, cucumber & coriander were of a good amount.
For $6-7/ banh mi I’d definitely come back.
There arent many decent banh mi spots around.
You would have to go to Banh Mi Saigon or Ngon in Burnaby but this place is so close to where we live so that alone is awesome ✌
