I recently visited this restaurant on a whim and the quality of the food was exquisite. Everything tasted home made, from the tortillas, to the cafe de olla, to the mole negro. I highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy authentic and delicious food.

We came to Oaxaca Village Restaurant & Cantina with the family wanting to try something a little different from our usual Mexican spots, and it ended up being a great choice. The space feels open and welcoming, not too crowded, with a relaxed but lively vibe. It felt comfortable for a family meal, and service was friendly and attentive without hovering.
For food, we leaned into their Oaxacan specialties. I ordered the enchiladas de mole con pollo, and that mole was the star of the meal—rich, slightly sweet, and full of depth without being overpowering. The chicken was tender, and the handmade tortillas really made a difference; you can tell they’re made fresh. We also shared a tasajo plate, which came with thinly sliced beef that was well-seasoned and paired nicely with the sides. At the table, we had guacamole and drinks, including micheladas, which were refreshing and balanced. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and authentic. It’s definitely a spot where you come to slow down, enjoy the flavors, and share plates with family. We all left full and happy, and it’s a place I’d come back to when craving Oaxacan food specifically.

Came across this hidden gem on a Sunday afternoon. The location is conveniently located on a main street but the restaurant is inside a shopping center with parking. The host and server where very friendly and the inside the of restaurant was nice and clean, festive with a lot of Mexican themed decoration, which added to a positive vibe. The menu has a variety of options , drinks and desserts, everything read and sounded delicious it was hard to choose one plate. We ended up having four plates including appetizers and everything was delicious. The food presentation was excellent and the portions were very filling. The server was nice enough to recommend some authentic plates specifically to the Oaxaca region in Mexico. They have a happy hour menu so We will definitely be coming back again! Gracias!

The atmosphere and service is full-stars. My family and my friend’s family enjoyed our time. Though the food could use some more attention to flavor.
The only thing that stood out was the mole colorido they give with the chips. All the food was good, it just paled in comparison to Oaxacan restaurants in and around central L.A. We drove 45 min to try it, but likely won’t be able to bring my dad again. He’s from Oaxacan and it’s tough to get him to try new places.
Again, the staff was amazing. I just wish I could say the same of the food.

The staff were polite and very accommodating. We had enchilada de mole, 1 taco de barbacoa, chilaquiles verdes con huevo, starter – 3 fried chicken taquitos, 1 guava drink (w mescal), 1 cucumber water, 1 cafe de olla. We took home a delicious flan. The food was delicious. I can’t say much about the ambiance… when we got there it was fairly empty, but was half way full when we left. For us the atmosphere was great. We didn’t have any problems with service or food. The prices seem a bit on the pricy side, but the food is good and made fresh. They are a fairly new restaurant, so maybe they just need to get better providers w better pricing. They are also not a chain restaurant, so happy to support local business. Will definitely be coming back.

Oaxaca village was amazing. Tried the beef fajitas, it came with homemade corn tortillas and delicious black beans. Chips and salsa were great. We also had the two taco combo plate with chicken and the tasajo(beef). Amazing flavor. Had the churros for dessert. Alan made it a great experience. We highly recommend Oaxaca Village. 5 stars all day

This place is so good! We ordered the Oaxacan Torta, Chile Relleno dish, a kids carne asada fries, kids quesadilla, and churros with ice cream. Everything was on point! Even my kids, whom are picky eaters, raved about it. Service was also great! Definitely going back!
