The fried food has excellent consistency. We had the cauliflower and the husband had the chicken fried steak. My green sauce beef enchiladas were super delicious and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. But the sopapillas were so good, I can’t even contain myself. They are giant, and we had to order six for the road.

We always try to stop here on the way to Colorado from Texas. This year we had the stuffed sopapillia with red and green chili, a club, blt and a burger. Everything was prepared perfectly. The service was great. We have also loved the chicken fried steak in the past. Their soups are also amazing.

I save five stars for any locally grown food offered. Portions are large, traditional diner-style. It’s clearly a local favorite. Views are spectacular and it’s a one minute walk from your room. I was VERY happy about that! The king bed was awesome and it has windows you can open to let in the cool mountain air. Plus a perfect bathtub for soaking my sore back.

The food was excellent. We got liver and onions. Our waitress was very helpful. I can’t attest to the food other people were eating, but it looked great and large potions. We always share a meal and our meal was perfect for us .

Deluxe cheeseburger was amazing but the fries were cold and somewhat greasy. Couldn’t eat the fries so got apple pie to go and it was delicious. Service a little slow but they were packed so it would be really hard to keep up.

The room was spotless. The air conditioning worked fabulously. The room was in excellent condition and very large. The staff was super friendly. What a relief after driving for hours to have a perfect place rest and get a good night sleep. I only wish the first night on our journey was as lovely as this one thank you very much for having a wonderful staff and clean rooms.
