This is a very affordable version of BBQ dishes I can eat over and over again. Their sides are well prepared, flavored pretty good, and portion out just right. Their chicken dishes are to die for though, seriously. Always juicy, spiced up correctly and flavorful to the bone, even if you get White meat pieces. It also has one of thee best parking lot views I have ever seen. It’s on a slight hilltop that towers over a lake in the distance. It looks divine if you go there during sunset.

We order Catering for a local event. Our order was large and Oakwood offered to delivery for free, which was much appreciated. The owner even delivered the order personally! The food was plenty for our group and delicious (I personally thought the pulled pork was next level)! Thanks for helping us make our event a success!

Great chicken, amazing baby back ribs, and excellent sides. The servers are attentive. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality of the BBQ and the portion sizes. The restaurant itself isn’t too loud, so you can easily hear the people seated at your table. Overall, a great establishment.

After being on the road for hours, this spot was perfect for bringing you back to life lol. Very friendly staff. We came here on a Monday and was pretty empty around 230-3 pm. Also, the views from the parking lot are beautiful.

Today’s visit was not too good, the baked beans were horrid, can’t even really describe them as they were like a paste. Not sure what happened, they’re usually really good. The ribs were fine, but apparently Oakwood has decided to add some sort of coating to the fries which used to be amazing and are now not good at all. The worst thing today was the iced tea, I ordered sweet tea which is usually great but it was unbearably sweet. I told our waitress and asked her to top it off with some unsweet but even that didn’t help. Waitress was not apologetic at all, nor was she apologetic when my mom asked for her baked beans to be replaced and mentioned how bad they were. The waitress also just walked away when I was trying to say something to her. I want to say that this is not my usual experience here, we’ve been going here for years and years, and the service is usually great but the food unfortunately seems to be going downhill little by little, really sad. Anyway today was not a good experience with food or service. I could name the waitress, her name is on my receipt, but I won’t do so as hopefully she was just having a bad day.

Ordered the beef and bowl of potato soup. The potatoes raw. The beef was room temp as was the au jus. The beef slices were tough and hard to cut with the serrated butter knife provided. The presentation was pitiful and the server never checked back with me. Not my cup of tea.

The service and the ribs are a solid 5! The fried shrimp were not edible and more panko than what was supposed to be shrimp. The prices are unbelievable and really good! The onion rings and sweet potato fries are straight out of a bag. The collards are okay. Who doesn’t love Texas Toast!

Great food – that’s what got my attention. Really good quality and fresh ingredients, including the lettuce and the other ingredients in our salad. Our waiter, a young man, was also great and very polite. Nice to have such a great restaurant close to our home. Edit: was there again 4 weeks later, and everything was perfect again. Kudos!
