We were sent away by Carnivores because they said they couldn’t seat us even though they were only 20% full. We went to the Tavern where they were at least at 75% capacity. We had a great time! There was only one bartender and one cook and we had great service and was met with positive attitudes. We know it’s the same owner, but obviously the staff is way better at the tavern. Gianna and the solo cook that decided to come to work was great and did a great job!!!! Kudos to them…shame on Carnivores staff!!!

Debbie is still the sweetheart i met 7 years ago! Thursday is a must if you want the best bartender this side of the Allegheny! It gets a little crowded on weekends but nothing too terrible at all. The service is top notch. Speedy and friendly every day. Food is always served HOT! It’s been about 7 years since I was a regular. Still a great place to unwind and meet or talk to new people or catch up with friends from the past. Very happy with the new owner for not trying to change the place. I literally eat the same thing every single time I come in. It keeps getting better. Love having this place available on my way home from a 12-15 hour day working 45 minutes from home.

Perfect town bar and every town needs somewhere to always find live music. Casual downstairs with a great rooftop above that also is a fun late night spot. Staff always been friendly. We actually frequent even with our toddler and they are always accommodating if we want to sit upstairs. Food is quality as well, better than typical dive. Apparently new owner has been upgrading it…I’ll say it looks nicer but still has same classic feel that you’d hate to lose. Glad more investment going into it and hopefully only make it better.

Hamburger was one of those frozen patties, little tough to chew. Ugggh Arrived overcooked & lukewarm, fries were lukewarm too. Ice tea from fountain tasted fishy uggh Wont go back anytime soon.

New management is making great changes to the place! The bartenders are always so kind! Food was great and came out very fast. I really love going there to listen to the bands/DJs. It’s always such a great time. I will most defiantly be going back!

I’ve never been to this bar. I hear amazing things about it… HOWEVER this bar is an absolute nuisance when it comes to parking. I live on Virginia ave ( literally right around the corner ) Myself, my fiancé and our 2 autistic sons.. we are a hard working family. I’m a nurse. He’s a plumber… and we can never park in front of our home that we pay a lot of money monthly to reside… because this bar does not have a parking lot… can you imagine doing a 16 hour shift and having to walk down the block to get to your home… or trying to carry groceries with 2 autistic toddlers… I’m over it….. so please tell your customers to mindful of parking on Virginia ave.. thanks

If I could give no stars, I would. Since new mgmt took over, they’ve ruined this bar. Drinks are overpriced and have no booze in them. The bartenders are rude and act like you are bothering them when you ask for a drink. Plus they took our friends change assuming it was a tip…who does that? Bring the good bartenders back and get rid of the 12 year olds. This was one of our favorite places to go see live music but will be taking our business elsewhere from now on.
