In Milwaukee and decided to stop by this hookah place. The prices were really good. Shakes were amazing. Hookah was nice. Had to ask to have the coals refreshed and it wasn’t a busy night, other than that the place was clean and inviting.

It became my second home, and I honestly spend more time here than at my actual place. The ambiance is incredibly inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The hookahs are always top-notch, and the variety of flavors ensures there’s always something new to try. The staff is friendly and attentive, making each visit a pleasant experience. I’ve come here since 2016, it’s like home to me. Perfect Sun-Wed for a place to study and Thursday-Saturday for a fun night out. The hookah bar is very authentic, serves snacks, and the owner is amazing. He always makes customers feel like family. As a woman I am comfortable going alone; also the prices are great, music is great, and try a non alcoholic pina colada drink or Arab mint tea! Love Oakland forever. #prettygirlsloveOC

This place is nice, I’ve been here a few times. No real strong feelings on it. Service is friendly and laid back. Tea and shakes are pretty great. Good atmosphere for just hanging out or getting some light work done. Music isn’t too loud but it’s defiantly a feature. Over all it’s nice.
Update: This cafe eventually became my go to place to hang out with friends between classes at the nearby University. I spent a lot of free time there, getting to know the staff sampling a bunch of different menu items. Getting some homework done and just generally having a great time relaxing. Honestly now that I don’t live nearby I miss it so much. Everytime I’ve tried to stop by in the past few years it’s been closed. Seems like during/after COVID their hours became pretty weird. If there’s one place in Milwaukee I miss, it’s Oakland Cafe.

Some of the most welcoming people I have ever met. If you’re looking for the most authentic Arab style place to hang out, this is it. The music is always awesome and diverse. Best hookah and best service in town. The Turkish coffee is fantastic, especially paired with the amazing cheesecake!

I waited to review this place till I came back to Milwaukee.
Over summer I was recommended this place by a cousin. I was highly dissatisfied when I watched a man with a ponytail (who I now know is the owner) sit outside and throw a football across oakland with bunch of college kids who looked under 21 and almost hitting passing vehicles.
I decided a 2nd chance cause I liked the hookah.
On this recent visit i overheard the owner with a group of men talking about people in and around this business. extremely disrespectful and unprofessional.
The owner seemed very off putting to any non Arabs who came into the business and wasnt very involved with running the shop more so sitting with his friends and having fun.
As for the environment it is nice inside but the music is unnecessarily loud you cant hear anything.
I really wanted to like this place as it’s close to where I stay when I visit mke and has good hookah. But the owner and his disrespect and lack of concern for others ruins it.
Save time and go to Casablanca instead.

Hookah tastes great every time. The staff is on point and it’s a great environment if you want to work on business reports, study, or hang with some friends on the weekends. Highly recommend over Casablanca
