What a great place to visit after a show a Filed Hall. You choose your seat which I really enjoy. This place has some very unique menu items and best of all eggs Benedict is available all hours. There many comfort food options as well salads. The steak salad was amazing. The meat was so tender and generous portions. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. When we first arrived they were not too busy and then people started flowing in, with the table and booth set up you can still enjoy a conversation. The atmosphere is relaxing with a small town vibe. I would say the wait time for our food was just about right not too fast and pre cooked. This is a great dining option for a freshly prepared meal at a reasonable price.

We ordered the black and blue burger with fries. It tasted amazing!! The fries were crispy and hot. We also ordered fried pickles to go, very good!! The batter was NOT over-salted like most places that serve fried pickles. Our server was at our table consistently filling our water and asking if we needed anything. Checked in on how we liked the food too! Food came out quickly, and the server split our order to two separate plates without us asking!! Very nice guy. The restaurant was bright, clean, and nice on a hot day like today. We will definitely be coming back!

Must stop in and eat here! Gluten free options! The burger was tasty. The owner was awesome!
Their is space within this restaurant for a large group. We were 10 hungry women that descended on the owner after our original reservation at another restaurant was cancelled due to kitchen break. It was the best thing that happened.
As a group we had a blast in here and we were all happy with our food. Everything was fresh and so good!
Highly recommend choosing this restaurant to eat at!

Awesome food, as a family of four we all enjoyed our food. They had great beer and cider on tap. No wait and the server was superb. He was very helpful with my dairy intolerance. I had one of the specials steak salad with cowboy cavier and avocado.

Rick and his Oak Street Bistro team saved us!! I run women’s adventure travel groups, and my group was in town to hike and explore the Olympic National Park. When our reservation at another restaurant in town was cancelled due to a broken kitchen, we needed a place to go – and we found Oak Street Bistro!
We descended into the restaurant tired and hungry from our day hikes and Rick took care of us like a dad to his hungry daughters! His food is absolutely incredible. FRESH FRESH FRESH! Nothing from a box! Plus he was able to accommodate so many different food requests and restrictions of our group!
We all said we were so glad our original reservation was cancelled because we really ended up at the right place! Please visit Oak Street, ask for Rick and when you do – also ask about the “special water” he has. You won’t be disappointed!
100/10 Recommend!

Reviews didnt lie! Food was delicious. It was really hard to pick what to go with but that’s when sharing comes in handy. We got the mac and cheese, western burger, and mushroom Swiss burger. All were delicious. Fries were seasoned to perfection. The portions are really big so be ready. Especially the mac and cheese. I had to take it to go, especially because all the cheese and cream is very filling. Service was friendly and great. Vibe/interior design a little old school but dont let that scare you away.

When Oak Street Bistro opened I stopped in and sampled the menu. I was impressed with the variety. I was expecting something in the ways of a kneipe or wirsthaus. It wears its German influence on its sleeves. I can’t help but think it might be more at home in a place like Leavenworth though.
In the months between my visits the menu stayed exactly the same. Which is fine, it allowed me to try some things I missed the last time I dined in. I didn’t care for the wicker chairs, so I sat at the bar. I was surprised at how noisy it was. I don’t usually mind, but it seemed like my dining experience was interrupting some sort of familial dispute, so I drank my cocktails and meals in silence. Sometimes that can be endearing, that time it wasn’t.
I’d like to see the menu get updated eventually, try some new territory. Some work behind the scenes to reconcile front of house and back of house differences would be welcome changes as well.
Not my first pick. Not my second pick. But if I’m hungry and everywhere else is busy, I usually don’t have to wait long for a meal here.

Oak Street Bistro, a great new restaurant on Oak Street between Front & 1st Streets! 4 of us went to dinner on Tuesday 2nd of October. We all chose a different dish and they were all good! We even shared an spinach and artichoke dip with pieces of french toast and all agreed every thing was very good. Oh, the seasoned french fries were excellent also.
Service was also very good.
Prices were very fair, and some food even made a trip home.

This place should be packed, but it isn’t! I found 5 things on the menu that looked great. Ordered the Rueben. The corned beef melted in my mouth. I learned that this is because they make their own! Fries were delicious and they had an NA beer to go with. Friendly staff. Comfortable ambiance. Definitely worth a return trip next time I’m in town.

Great little place, close to the ferry terminal, with a bit of a water view. The people running the place were very nice and accommodating. They were almost willing to make us whatever we wanted when the menu wasn’t exactly what we were looking for at the moment. We had an excellent little bean dip dish with taco chips and just had water this time but we’ll go back for a glass of wine next time.
