Fresh coffee!! None of that nasty burnt rubber tasting stuff you get from other places.

Service was exceptional, the waitresses were prompt and I was seated with no wait time.

Pricing was fair, especially for the portion sizes. The Irish plate will have you eating like royalty and is reasonably priced.

The pancakes were fluffy and perfectly done.

Definitely an Oak Lawn hidden gem.

Our family is doing a breakfast each month for 2026. I chose Oaklawn Diner because of ample parking lot and the food is really good. I called and made reservations for a party of 8. Table was ready and service was fast and good. Heather our server was so nice and attentive. I had the number three combo which was filling and coffee. No complaints. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

Breakfast spots are always my go to so when I get a chance to try a new place I go for it. Today we tried this diner, I had the country fried steak and eggs served with hash browns and toast. Wife had the banana Nutella crepes. The crepes were ok, could have been better. The fried steak was also just OK. Definitely had better on other places, but i did love the customer service and attention we got at our table.

Happy with my breakfast. I had eggs over easy with ham and with crepes and fruit on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the ham and crepes were delicious. The coffee was hot and good as well. The only item that could have been improved is the presentation of the fruit bowl. Some of the strawberries didn’t look too fresh but all the other fruit was great. Service was polite and quick. Breakfast was great. The menu offers a lot of options. Will go again.

Another great meal! We had a Denver omelet and a skinny (vegetarian) omelet. The portions are plentiful and the service supreme! The atmosphere is clean and casual. Highly recommended if you are a breakfast lover. If your in the area, stop by today. Enjoy!

Went to this restaurant for the first time over the weekend. The caramel apple pancakes were to die for. My autumn loving self was ecstatic seeing this on the menu. It was absolutely delicious with what came on it, no syrup. The coffee was good but it had a bit of a nutty flavor. My niece got the breakfast quesadilla. It was a large quesadilla and way too much for her but it was good enough to take home. The server we had was great and so friendly. It’s a smallish place and a little hidden in a shopping center but if you find yourself near here stop in, you won’t regret it.

I got the eggs Florentine and this is probably the best diner coffee I’ve ever had. I’ve eaten here twice and I’ve had a good experience both times.

Service was very good. Sunday was busy but to be expected. Lots of children but all pretty good. Food was ok. Tried the Santa fe frittata. Was not a real frittata. More like a round omelet with cheese on top. Not much flavor. A little better when topped with the little cups of salsa & sour cream. Veggies over cooked & bacon was nor well done as I requested. Hash browns were just shredded potatoes nothing special. Coffee hot & good. Next time will stay with German breakfast with potato pancakes.
Update: today had sun devil scrambled. That’s the way to go. Very good. Arrived hot & not over cooked. Also lots food.
