A must visit Restaurant. We had to detour off the 10 Fwy and was starving. The outside looked interesting and the place had a few animals at the entrance (kids would love them)
Food and service is excellent. The owner is a very nice man.

Definitely not disappointed! County potatoes was the Star of my dish! Super delicious. Service was excellent. They were very attentive to my family and I. Felt comfortable plus they have a couple of farm animals at the entrance. Loved it!

I’m from Florida, visiting a friend, and she took me here for lunch today. I LOVED seeing the goats, turkeys, and chickens in the front of the building. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I got the Santa Fe sandwich, with fries and a salad. I wish my salad had tomatoes, but other than that, everything tasted great.

I went here for breakfast with my parents and brother today and had a wonderful experience. We met the owners who are very friendly individuals. The staff is very friendly and approachable as well. The food is excellent and they are very prompt with refilling your drinks. My brother enjoyed his sunny side up eggs and my coffee was warm the entire time even after the first sip. All of our food was brought out at the same time and nothing was forgotten or neglected. If they make a mistake they also do their best to accommodate when treated with respect. No one should be advocating for a waitress to be fired over a mistake they worked on fixing, especially when understaffed on a holiday. Also remember that your server is not your slave but is a human being doing their best. Do not trust the negative reviews and come experience this place for yourself. We can’t wait to come back and support an awesome small family owned business.

My friend and I googled for an American food restaurant and Oak House came up with great reviews. We gave it a try and I must say the food was good. We had wonderful service by our waiter. It wasn’t busy at 1pm on a Tuesday afternoon so for me that was a win as well. The atmosphere is amazing music was playing the decor is very rustic and vintage. I recommend this restaurant

My chicken fried stake was frostbitten & and tasted sour. Was not edible. The gravy watered down & and tasted like flour.
As for the Omelet , I was told it was okay.
Country potatoes under cooked as well as the onions & bell peppers.
I ended up eating toast & avocado , 1 egg white with salsa. Which was satisfying.
Service: slow, but maybe because not many people were in there.
It was only myself, my guess & two other people.
Plus side the atmosphere is cozy & welcoming. Very charming.
Perhaps dinner service will be better. Call me a glutton for punishment , but I’m going to give it a try.

Stopped for breakfast on our way home to AZ from weekend in Big Bear. Walked in and immediately greeted. Breakfast was delicious and good-sized portions. Biscuits and gravy were some of the best I’ve had. Excellent customer service and great atmosphere. Always prefer to support small business than chains.

Being in the area me and my family wanted to check this spot out for good ol fashioned American food.
Lots of country living vibes is what to be expected here with all kinds of Western and historical relics inside and outside to gaze upon as being one of the main attractions here.
A koi pond and selection of birds too just outside.
Large menu to choose from, so you can’t go wrong with a wide variety and selections.
Me and my wife ordered their Honey dipped fried chicken dinner which came with baked potato or choice of mashed potatoes. I got their baked potatoe topped with whipped butter and chives (I omitted the sour cream).
Dinner salad with blue cheese dressing. Our daughter got their chicken tenders with fries and a side of their homemade chicken noodle soup (which ended up being a tad bit salty).
Their fried chicken was delicious which had a super crunchy batter and baked potato was delicious as well.
Portions for their dinner meals were generous for the price.
Wifey didn’t care for their brown gravy which came with her mashed potatoes, said it lacked a bit in flavor.
Lastly their green beans were just on the over cooked side.
With the understanding that some restaurants cook them differently, we prefer them blanched or boiled lightly till they are soft.
Other than that the place was clean, organized, and our service was great.
Sever/bus boy were courteous accommodating.
Wouldn’t mind coming back when in town to try other items on the menu.

We have lived near this restaurant for about 10 years, but this is the first time we have been here. It’s breakfast, what could go wrong? Well… walked in and it’s “seat yourself”. We got coffee pretty fast. It was diner coffee, meh. Took awhile for the ONLY waitress in the whole restaurant to come take our order. We had to ask 3 times for water. I never got my eggs. She said she never ordered them. Even though I repeated myself multiple times when ordering because they were a la cart. Nobody told us we had to walk up to a cash register to pay. So we sat there a good 30 minutes. Then when we paid she clicked past the tip part and handed us the receipt. So basically she didn’t get a tip. I usually tip something… because everyone has a bad day. The food… Hubby said the steak was good. That’s about it. My 17.00 (could have made the waffle at home for 2.00) was mediocre. Whoever prepped the strawberries couldn’t even bother to remove the stems.
Needless to say, we will not be back.
