Pizza bar and grill with a rough parking situation and a small, mostly takeout-style setup. It looked inviting and was clean, and the order was ready on time. Menu had the usual basics but it was cumbersome, and the auto-added 20% pickup tip was annoying.
Steak and cheese 3.8/10
Pretty mediocre, and it came with mushrooms even though I asked for none. It felt like a value option, but still not worth repeating.
Pizza 4.2/10
Way too much cheese and just didn’t taste that good. It filled you up, but not in a satisfying way.
Mac n cheese 1.5/10
Basically inedible. Couldn’t get through it.
Garlic knots 1.8/10
Undercooked and raw inside. Not something I’d order again.
They also have super affordable craft beers, which makes it the perfect spot to grab a slice and a drink without breaking the bank. The huge TV is awesome for watching games — such a fun vibe on game days!
They even have outdoor seating, which is perfect when the weather’s nice and you want to enjoy your pizza and beer outside.
The staff is incredibly friendly, and the owner is always around making sure everyone is happy and taken care of. You can really feel that it’s family-owned and run with pride.
Yummy pizza, great prices, great atmosphere — we’ll definitely be back!
pizza was crisp and not too greasy (i got pepperoni) crust was a little hard but the flavor was good
YOU HAVE TO GET THE ZEPS (pictured) for $5 you can feed a small army of people with these mini beignets
But the real surprise of the night? The root beer float that Matt made — it was next-level! Creamy, fizzy, and just the perfect sweet treat to finish off the meal. Honestly, it was the bomb and totally made the experience unforgettable.
Between the amazing pizza and Matt’s killer root beer float, Oak City Pizza has definitely earned a top spot on my go-to list. If you’re in Raleigh and want pizza done right, this is the place.
