Coming from lifelong service industry guests – O.A.K. Prime deserves nothing but high praise for the magical little world they’ve created. Our favorite gift to give each other is an elevated meal, and our dinner celebrating our first wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Our server (shoutout Cheryl!) was so nice, knowledgeable, and prompt. She staged our courses out perfectly so we could relax and enjoy each other and all the amazing food. The cherry on top for us was that the restaurant had personalized anniversary and birthday cards on the table for us when we arrived; truly a touch of finesse. I think O.A.K. Prime will be our go to for all of our future special events! Thank you for such a special evening.

Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish! The food was beyond amazing — hands down the BEST steak I’ve had in a long time. It was perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. And let me tell you about the brussel sprouts… WOW! Crispy on the outside, flavorful, and cooked just right. I could’ve ordered a second plate!
The customer service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. You can truly tell they care about their guests and take pride in what they do.
If you’re looking for incredible food and top-tier service, this is the place. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely great experience. We sat at the bar right when they opened. Bartenders are fantastic. They did a terrific job reviewing everything. Great drinks, great vibes, super attentive, Chef came out and spoke with us. Food was amazing. Highly recommend.

My fiance went and ate here the night we got engaged. It was our first time trying elk chops and lamb chops. I’m usually not a fan of red meat but wanted to give it a try. I had their elk chops and it was about the best thing I had ever tried. Our waiter was absolutely amazing. We had made a reservation and it asked if we had a special reason for the meal, it was also our anniversary as well. We selected that and when we got there, they actually put a card that said happy anniversary

My wonderful husband made reservations for our 8 year wedding Anniversary here on May 8, 2025 and I must say he picked an amazing place for us to dine and celebrate! This place is the best hands down! The surprise anniversary card at the table definitely pulled a heart string and our waiter Joe was amazing! The food was absolutely superb and so delicious! The chef definitely showed out with our choices! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon! Thank you so much for the catering and hospitality! It was greatly appreciated! The only reason we gave 4 stars for the atmosphere was the distraction of the new paint smell and a customer that said some gross things out loud while we were dining that made us a little disturbed and grossed out, but the atmosphere became better once they left and we ended up thoroughly enjoying ourselves and meeting some other amazing people sitting next to us…other than those 2 minor issues 5 stars across the board. Thank you again so much! #1Love #ThemBanks

Let’s start with the positive. The food was fantastic. The special Wagyu steak with the truffle butter…chefs kiss and the wonderful tomato bisque on a cold night was delectable. However, the prices were a bit too presumptuous and pretentious IMO. Knock about $10 to $15 off the price, it’s not NYC. The main server was fabulous: knowledgeable, personable, and prompt with any needs or requests. The food runners (I think that was their job) needs a lesson on fine dining etiquette. He was reaching over me to hand my husband his food and did so for the remainder of the table. Weird. Felt like I was at Applebees. The bar area was very warm and inviting. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the dining room…leaves much to be desired. So to sum things up, I probably would not return because the overall experience did not reflect our bill $375 (total for two people with tip). With that price tag I expect every part of our experience to be top notch.

We chose OAK Prime in Carolina Forest for our anniversary dinner, partly because it’s close to home and partly because it’s one of the few “special night out” spots in the area. Overall, it was a good choice, but there are a few things worth knowing before you go.
First, be prepared for steakhouse pricing. Our bill came to about $360 for an appetizer, mains, wine, coffee, and dessert. If you plan on enjoying a full evening here, I’d budget $150–$200 per person including tip.
Food-wise, the standout for me was their signature dish, the Chilean sea bass, beautifully cooked and full of flavour. The Wagyu, priced at $95, had a great char and tasted ok, but for a $100 steak, I was expecting more in terms of presentation. I would not get it anymore and prefer the filet over it, probably. On the side, the Brussels sprouts were a pleasant surprise, only $11 and not greasy like you often find elsewhere.
The appetizer was a mixed bag. We tried the tuna tower, which was fresh but underwhelming for $23. The portion was smaller than expected, and it came topped with cheap canned chips instead of something more fitting for the price, a custom crisp would be more appropriate.
Dessert ended things on a high note. The bread pudding was easily one of the best I’ve had in the area, rich, indulgent, and worth saving room for.
The wine list is on the thin side, with just a handful of options in each category. You can find something to pair with your meal, but I do wish the selection was broader.
As for the atmosphere, OAK Prime definitely aims for a dark, classic steakhouse feel. The décor is tasteful, and the main dining room was lively on our visit. That said, it can’t quite escape the reality of its strip mall location; the high windows give it away. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it does make you wish a restaurant of this calibre had a more sophisticated setting.
Bottom line: OAK Prime is one of the better options nearby if you’re celebrating or just want a nice night out. The food has high points (especially the sea bass and bread pudding), the service is not what I’d call memorable, but ok, and, while it’s pricey, it delivers enough to make it worth the occasional splurge.

Emily and I recently dined at O.A.K. Prime Kitchen, and it was nothing short of an exceptional experience from start to finish. We were visiting from Arizona, and this meal absolutely made our trip even more memorable.
I ordered the Australian Wagyu steak special, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The charred crust on the outside paired with the tender, flavorful inside made it one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Emily went with the Chilean Seabass special, beautifully presented over risotto, with lump crab, asparagus, and a sauce that tied all the flavors together in the most delicious way.
We also tried their Rockefeller oysters, and the hollandaise sauce on them was out of this world — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. For dessert, we shared the s’mores bread pudding, which we were told was a first-time creation. It was so good that we’re crossing our fingers it becomes a permanent menu item.
The ambience was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable. A special thank you to Cheryl, our server, who was so kind, uplifting, and genuinely made the night even more memorable.
We went on a recommendation, and we are so glad we did — this place is an absolute gem. If you’re looking for a restaurant where the food, atmosphere, and service are all top-tier, O.A.K. Prime Kitchen is well worth the visit.

Had a delicious meal, our compliments to our host Jerrett abd staff for giving us special attention to make the night enjoyable. Starting with Cocktails with a big round ice cube everything was improved on. For an appetizer we had scallops with some pasta and greens with a very special sauce. Our table also had the Roasted Oysters and they are seasoned so well with a very sauce I can’t exactly describe, but delicious. I had a Ribeye cooked perfectly. My wife had the Sea Bass special, and we were very happy with our choices. Dessert sounded fantastic, but we were too full to try any. Next time I hope.

My parents, my wife, and I spent an absolutely wonderful evening at O.A.K. Prime. After reading about OAK being on the Michelin guide, I knew I had to try it. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I ordered the Elk Chops, while my wife got the crab cakes along with a side of the lobster mac’ and cheese. Wonderful! My mother got the seafood presentation of the evening, I cannot remember what it was but I do remember my mother’s look of bliss as she bit into the first bite. Lol. My father got the lamb chops which I tried and it tasted better than I expected. The drinks were very well made, though pricey. I noticed a lot of folks around me having water while I had three drinks and my wife 2. Next time I may have drinks elsewhere and save one for dinner at OAK.
This place is amazing and I’m happy it is in Carolina Forest, we deserve a place like this close by. We will be going again. You must try.
