Social Profile:

Nzuko offers the tastes of the Caribbean with the benefits of the Mediterranean diet. The idea of marrying these two seemingly disparate cultures may appear to be a stretch at first glance. The common thread, however, is their joie de vivre. Sunshine, happy people, emphasis on quality of life, and great food and drink are central to both places.

The food was delish. The hummus is a must, it’s smooth and had with 3 different flavors it’s fun to share.
Went to eat for a girl’s dinner, shared 3 apps and 2 kabob plates.
We got hummus, chonch fritters and cheese mannish.
The hummus and fritters were great, would definitely order again. The cheese mannish was not what I expected, it was good it’s was like a flat bread pizza. (We were expecting a dip.)
The prawns kebob’s were cooked perfect, and tender and juicy. The salad was nice.
The lamb kebob’s were slightly over cooked.
Definitely give this place a try! It’s definitely worth you’re time.

Went here on Friday night with my cousin and this place does not disappoint. The food was so amazing especially the macaroni and cheese. It had to be the best macaroni cheese I’ve ever had in my life. As a Haitian American, I know that Caribbean food takes a long time to make, and this is worth the weight. The staff was so sweet and the owner was so sweet. They gave us a complementary sample of their soup. The fried pork a.k.a. Griot, was cooked in a different way and it was so delicious. I will 100% be going there again.

I usually don’t write negative review, but this resturant really left me a mixed feeling.
The pricing is comparable to a fine-dining restaurant, but the atmosphere/service feels more like a fast-casual spot where you quickly grab lunch. The food quality was fine, but it wasn’t impressive enough to justify the cost. The pictures uploaded by the owner are defintely misleading and I don’t understand why the rating is so high. Additionally, the listed price range of $30–50 seems inaccurate. It’s likely averaged down by the under-$20 lunch wraps they offer, but in reality, a full dinner experience falls closer to $50–100 per person.

Service was slow, and some staff seemed inexperienced. Our beverages were forgotten initially, and our main dishes arrived before the appetizers. While these issues might be understandable at a $10–30 restaurant, we spent nearly $150 (before tip). The restaurant was also not warm enough, and we felt even quite cold after our grilled dishes — and still not full, so we ended up grabbing pho on the way home.

The resturant furnishing looked quite ordinary, even slightly cheap in places, which felt very different from the cozy, polished ambiance shown in the owner’s photos. The space also felt somewhat chaotic, with items piled near the bar and by the restroom entrance.

The foods are definitely overpriced considering the portion, presentation and taste:
For appetizers, we ordered the plantain with pork, and the chicken wings. The plantain was flavorful, with a nice balance of sweetness, savoriness, and a bit of spice from the pickled cabbage on top. However, there were only three slices, which felt quite limited for the price. The chicken wings only had five small pieces, with just two drumettes. It left us wondering what happened to the rest one.

For the mains, we had the chicken kebab and the lamb shank. The chicken kebab came with only one skewer for $27 and tasted rather bland. The lamb shank(45$) was a generous portion, and the potato (with a pleasant lemon flavor) was actually quite good. However, the presentation lacked priority. Both dishes were arranged with protein, carbs, and nearly half a plate of simple green salad. For a $45 entrée, the main ingredient should feel more thoughtfully highlighted. They can reduce the portion of the greens as a side which is more thoughtfully selected and delicately cooked. As presented, both dishes felt like something you might find at an average restaurant — even in larger portions and lower prices.

The key lime pie tasted good, with a texture closer to an ice cream cake than a traditional cheesecake-style pie. That said, for a $15 dessert, we expected at least clean utensils to be provided.

We didn’t try the $18 cocktails or $18 salads (with fairly common ingredients), but overall the restaurant seems unsure of its positioning. If it aims to be fine dining, there is a lot for improvement in presentation, service, and atmosphere. If it aims to be a cozy neighborhood restaurant, the pricing and portions don’t make sense.

Unfortunately, this was disappointing for a Valentine’s Day dinner. There are many better grill options nearby with stronger flavors and more reasonable pricing just around the area.

The vibe is warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the hummus and grape leaves, both were packed with flavor and so fresh.
For dessert, we tried the passion fruit basque, and it was simply amazing. I also had Choublac and Ginger Ale for the first time and was genuinely impressed. Everything from the service to the atmosphere made it a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

✨ A Hidden Gem for Every Occasion
Whether you’re planning a romantic date night, a birthday celebration, or a vibrant networking event, this place is *the* destination. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between elegance and warmth—think classy décor, soulful music, and a staff that treats you like family.

️ Culinary Fusion That Delivers
The menu is a delightful fusion of Mediterranean and Haitian influences, and every dish I’ve tried has been a standout. On my most recent visit, I had the steamed red snapper paired with a beautifully presented hummus plate—both were absolutely delicious. The cocktails are crafted with care, and for those who prefer non-alcoholic options, the selection is just as thoughtful and satisfying.

Hospitality That Feels Personal
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with genuine warmth. The owner is incredibly personable—she makes it a point to visit each table, engage in conversation, and ensure every guest feels seen and cared for. Her passion for the business and her community shines through in every detail.

Consistently Exceptional
This was my third event at this location, and each experience has been consistently outstanding. The food never disappoints, and the atmosphere continues to impress. It’s a space that welcomes everyone, with an inclusive vibe that makes you want to return again and again.

️Attentive to Dietary Needs
As someone with allergies to nuts and shellfish, I truly appreciated how seriously the staff took my concerns. They were attentive, accommodating, and made me feel safe without compromising the dining experience.

Great experience at Nzuko. Despite the construction currently outside of the building, I was greeted by the lady and welcomed to come in to this sunny place with Caribbean vibes and super clean modern feel. The food was super fresh and felt healthy and good value, I had lentil soup special and Jamaican chicken wrap, both were amazing. I will be back and bring family and friends.

Two of us went here for Valentines day dinner. I understand it’s a busy time for a sit down restaurant, but the slow service, and cold room was a bit strange. I’ve been here before with a friend few years ago, when the restaurant was less busy, things were good, but on Valentines day, even though it looked like there were a number of staff, they often disappeared into the kitchen, except for one person filling water or making alcoholic drinks at the counter. We were sat few mins after our reservation time, and the tables were mostly full. We didn’t receive a menu for a good 10 mins, and after waiting another 10 mins or more, we were grabbing our stuff to leave and go somewhere else. That’s when the lady who looked like the owner came and took our order herself and passed it onto a server with an electronic device. We tried a Caribbean board, and Jerk Chicken with turmeric rice. These aren’t flavors I’m most familiar with, but things tasted good, but perhaps a little darkly fried. Almost every patron female sitting down had her coat on, which seem like a good indicator, that the restaurant was cold, especially on Valentines day in Boston when ladies might be dressed in more dressy clothes. There was no apology for the delay, and the table next to us, had their credit card out the whole time we were waiting for our water and menu and placing an older… I’m pretty sure the table on our other side left after 2 drinks. Found it odd how they weren’t prepared for Valentines day rush when they took the reservations…

Nzuko isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The atmosphere is inviting, the service feels personal (the owner is often on-site and so welcoming!), and every dish is crafted with heart and soul.

The food? Michelin-star worthy, without question. Even the pickiest eaters at our table were blown away. Every plate was full of bold, balanced flavors that made each bite memorable. The sea bass is a must-try perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Explore the menu! There’s something special in every dish.

Highly, highly recommended!

This restaurant offers a unique take on creative, fusion-inspired cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting. The service was excellent, and the owner/chef’s friendly and personable approach made the dining experience feel special. The food was flavorful, with clear attention to detail in both preparation and presentation. However, the portion sizes were noticeably small, especially for the price. For instance, the $17-$18 salad was no larger than a typical side salad and certainly not enough to share, which felt disappointing. Other menu items followed a similar trend, with beautiful plating but portions that left us wanting more. While the quality of the ingredients and the creativity in the dishes were evident, the value for money just didn’t quite add up.

That said, the ambiance is a highlight. The thoughtfully designed interior and carefully curated artwork create a stylish yet comfortable atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place to try something innovative, this could be worth a visit—just be prepared for higher prices and modest portions.
