Nya did our wedding cake and dessert table this summer. She is SO talented and we are so glad we found her. We had a very reasonably priced assortment of beautiful and tasty desserts for 120 guests. She was able to make multiple dietary accommodations no problem. Our cake was delicious too and she worked with our florist to decorate the cake with our flowers. Her display was beautiful. Our guests are still raving about her desserts! She was very thorough in her planning and meetings with us to help bring our dream wedding to life. Thank you Nya for being such a kind, thoughtful and talented baker!

Our wedding cake was never delivered on our wedding day. They forgot to mark it on their calendar so it never got made. We had paid in advance – at the time of order actually just to confirm we were good to go, emailed about the date and details, talked in person to confirm and still managed to miss our wedding. She brought it to us the next day after our families called her on the day of asking about it, and you can tell she made it in a rush. The tiers were backwards, we wanted our favorite flavor to be the bigger tier. The bottom tier was super crumbly, and missing the drizzle. And the frosting was cracking/separating. We were told we’d get a refund, this Saturday will be 3 weeks and still nothing.
Sucks because we really like Nya’s cakes but really upset we had no cake to cut for our wedding and received no apology – just that “this has never happened before”

The cupcakes Nya made were PERFECT! There were endless compliments from the guests at our daughters baby shower. They could not have been better! Thanks SO much!!! We will BEE back!!
(As a side note.. the atmosphere is welcoming! Grab a treat and a coffee… sit for a spell! I have also tried the macaron’s … Do NOT leave without grabbing some!! They are to DIE for!!!) Thanks again!

My boyfriend and I placed an order a month ahead of time for our baby shower. Our order included a cake, 24 cupcakes, 24 cookies and 12 cake pops for $225. For our cake we asked for vanilla cake with blue frosting on the inside and blue and white ombré on the outside. The cake was dry, with no sweetness. I think they accidentally made a cornbread cake? The frosting tasted like there was a hint of lemon, which I did not ask for and happens to be my least favorite flavor for dessert. The frosting inside the cake was white, not blue like we requested. The vanilla cupcakes were so dry and disgusting I had multiple people come up to me at my shower asking if we made cornbread muffins. The frosting tasted like salty butter. The chocolate cupcakes were the same, except it tasted like someone dumped salt into the mix. The cake pops tasted fine, but we requested them to be blue with white drizzle, they were made all white. The chocolate chip cookies tasted good, no complaints with those. I was so so excited for the desserts we ordered all month just to be disappointed and embarrassed at my baby shower with the cornbread “cake” and “cupcakes” I don’t know if they forgot to add sugar to them or what but it was so disgusting it all got thrown away and our money was wasted. I really wished we had gone to Fred Meyer for our desserts or just made them at home, they would have tasted way better and been way cheaper. We called the following day regarding our concerns on December 7th, to be told we would hear back from the owner the following Wednesday. We still have not heard anything back at all. I’m seriously so disappointed and will not be coming back and absolutely do not recommend anyone coming here 🙁

I’m a single mom. We don’t have a lot of money, but we have enough. Sometimes I like to splurge to make us feel special. One such occasion this year, has been my daughter’s 18th birthday. I decided to splurge on a really special cake. I’d been following Nya’s Cakes on facebook for a while, and always LOVED how everything looked that they posted. I decided on Saturday Nov. 22, 2025 to try to place an order for her birthday cake. I called thinking they might be really busy with Thanksgiving coming up, and they might be booked with orders. Honestly, now, I just wish they had told me “no.”
I told the lady on the phone what I wanted: a special cake for my daughter’s 18th birthday. She said she’d check with whomever, and call me back to confirm they could do it for pickup on Wednesday Nov. 26th. She called me back and told me they could do it. I’m looking at the website as we’re talking on the phone, and I’m seeing beautifully decorated cakes and I’ve checked the flavor offerings and I decide to order a heart shaped strawberry and vanilla cake for my daughter. According to the website info, I thought it was going to be a $60.00 cake, but she informed me that it would be a $75.00 cake. (ok.) And as an afterthought, I decided to get a dozen mini cupcakes that she could take to her ‘friendsgiving’ celebration that day also, same flavor. It was an $117.00 order. I asked if they could write” Happy 18th Joey” and just make it really special. She took down the spelling of my daughter’s name, (I guess.) She did not ask me any other details about what I wanted but went straight to getting my credit card info for payment. There was a lot of noise in the background and she seemed to be really busy.
I live in Corbett. Sandy is quite a drive from my place.But I loved the idea of driving “over the river and through the woods” to pickup the most beautiful and decadent cake of my lifetime. I was ready to head out when they called to ask for more time. So I picked it up much later than anticipated, which delayed her arrival at her event.
Here’s the saddest thing. The heart shaped cake was frosted in plain white frosting. Minimal design or decoration. They used green gel icing to write “happy birthday joey” which isn’t even what I asked for. The cupcakes are ‘meh’, with a gigantic blob of inedible white frosting on the top and absolutely no decoration whatsoever.
I am so disappointed. I wish I could get my money back. I really made a big deal about getting this great cake, and what I got looks like it could have come off the shelf at Safeway.
Do better. Or just say no.

What a great local bakery. It was cool seeing this business go from at home order way back in the time, to brick and mortar now. It’s a testimony to the quality Nya and her employees produce.
I needed a custom order cinnamon roll cake for my wife’s birthday. I gave them full creative authority on the cake 5 days before her birthday. They absolutely nailed it. From a cinnamon roll in the middle of the cake, to mini cinnamon rolls on top, and the cake in totality was delicious. Don’t question whether this place is the place to go. Just do it, you won’t regret it one bit.

Nya helped save our wedding.
Sparing the details, we had originally called off/postponed the wedding. With some encouragement from loved ones we decided to proceed but our cake had already been canceled from another party. We had to throw together an entirely new wedding in under 12hrs. Nya personally reached out to double check if we still wanted a cake when our order was canceled. Over the phone and through my tears she offered to make us a smaller cake using the original deposit, expressed her excitement to make the cake while restoring some much needed positivity.
Even though our cake was smaller and had less detail due to all the chaos, I was brought to tears upon seeing it and it was perfect for our more intimate wedding.
We were only able to have that experience and the memories because of her willingness and kind heart to check in with us. We will never forget that.
The cake, btw was the best, hands down, wedding cake or cake in general, that I have ever eaten. This coming from a bluntly honest individual, I don’t embellish .
She even did the surprise, highly specified, different layers and fillings. The fondant mushrooms even had details on the under side of the caps!
Our cake was the most talked about aspect of our wedding, both the taste and the look! And it made our wedding feel more whole.
Beyond that, if you haven’t been to her bakery, just GO! The inside is probably the cutest environment in town, they have a patio space to rent out and the display case always looks like heaven.
We will always choose Nya’s cakes.

Hands down the BEST coffee in town! I have had a go to for my coffee for years and will be switching to Nya’s! Go see for yourself! We finally have a stellar coffee stop in Sandy not to mention the pastries. The chocolate fudge frosting is like no other. If you need a chocolate fix the chocolate cupcake will fix it!
