I have zero bad things to say about this amazing place. From the moment we entered the door, we were greeted with a smile and enthusiasm. The wait staff was so kind and professional. Lastly, but certainly not least, the food was AMAZING! Poached eggs, corned beef hash, to the awesome bagels. I definitely recommend and will absolutely come back!

Just like an Old World Delicatessen in NYC! Love the vibe and the food ♀️You’ll be back for more ! Beautiful Gem hidden in Houston which I emphasize is worth the review! For such a large Metropolitan area Houston is the food is trash most places. This spot is awesome!

Same exact order pictured, ordered today with a completely different experience. Potatoes greasy and soggy
Steak cooked to order (Well done) but ZERO
flavor. Salt & Pepper didn’t revive it.
Chicken & Waffles
Waffle was good, chicken was a 1/3 of the previous visit serving. Looked like 1 chicken tender ripped into 3 pieces. Greasy and meat was dry & stringy.
Poached eggs were barely poached.
French Toast with fruit, bagel & eggs benedict plate were the only wins today.
Every place has a super busy, off/hit or miss day. We have had great experiences here and the staff IS ALWAYS amazing. The food was sub par today. Will take a bit to return. Bagels to go aside

I’m from the East Coast and so I was delighted to find many of the things that I’m used to like corned beef . . . And I’ve never seen such a large slice of cheesecake! The service was friendly and efficient, and there’s a lovely bakery on the way out. I shall return for sure.

We were so excited to have found your restaurant in my sister’s new neighborhood. We were hankering for some great deli sandwiches, and boy did you deliver! We had pastrami, cheese steak, chicken salad, and chocolate chip cookies. We will be back weekly! Lori our server took very good care of us!!!

We love this place. The atmosphere, food, staff have all been amazing and keep us coming back. I could not give this place a bad review, even though we were served a meal that made me frown. A recommendation to the chef, gravy on your chopped steak needs work. We ordered this and it looked like someone took a spoon of gellied gooh from a can and plopped it on our steaks. No effort at all to prepare a real gravy or like you cared in the presentation. I ended up, scraping it to the side. Please do better.

We love coming here for breakfast because the quality is consistently excellent. The bagels are delightful, with the blueberry bagel being my personal favorite. The home fries are absolutely scrumptious as well. Service is always outstanding, and the atmosphere is charming.

No frills establishment serving quality breakfast options. Today we tried bacon egg and cheese on a French toast bagel. The sandwiches were made fresh and you also get a side with the order. I was very satisfied – couldn’t finish the whole sandwich in one sitting. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable!

Ohhh my goodness this place did it for me!!!!
1st: From the moment you walk into the little deli side pastry side door they are attentive to anything you need….
2nd: the waitstaff is on their game. They HELP each-other out not like the other place that shall not be named by my family ever again….
3rd: kept the coffee drinks rolling and no up charge, they know their clientele and take their time to see that everyone is comfy and happy with their service.
4th: the food is amazing it’s so good I didn’t want to go home from houston. Finally found my breakfast and lunch hangout when I come to houston.
5: the prices are reasonable, them place is immaculate (reminds me of the golden girls episode where Blanche was like : Do t sit don’t sit clean clean “ before her sis Virginia came to visit. Absolutely adorable throwback to the golden girls decore. Love it.
6th: they are just great. Thank you for a great couple of days in houston.

I’ve been coming here since I was 4 years old and I still do. Fresh bagels daily! They have the best bagels in Houston and the best customer service. The restaurant is very clean and stays up to date yet keeps the decor retro. It’s a nostalgic feeling coming in and the food is comforting!

The food is great, but the service would make you forget you were even there.
To start off the hostess put us down on the wait list and took down my number. I was told the wait would be 20 minutes, which was fine. After 15 minutes I went into the restraunt to wait for when I would be called, and I never was. I went to the counter and she insisted we were called, despite showing her my phone with zero new calls. Eventually the hostess seated my party of 3 with a single menu and ran off. Unfortunately things only got worse from there.
Our waitress, Lori K, only came to take our order 15 minutes after we were seated and was snappy, impatient, and rude with us despite we had to continue to share a single menu between the 3 of us. 10 minutes after taking our order she came back to confirm one of our orders because she hadn’t put it in yet.
Then we were ignored for the next 30 minutes with a completely different waitress having to come check on us because Lori was too busy waiting on her party of 6 directly behind us. Once that party left Lori attention became conveniently more fixed on us. Though it took over a full hour for our food to come out, despite tracking other tables seated AFTER us and seeing them get their food.
The food here is great, don’t get me wrong, but if I am seated in Lori’s section again I’m walking out and saving myself an hour of being ignored.
