Trying this new place bc I don’t wanna miss out any good bagels. Turns out this place this is solid, the bagels and material are very fresh. I like the combo of different veggies and smoked salmon. For my preference, the sesame bagel can have bit more sesame. But I’d definitely go back and try a few more things on the menu.

From the lights to the artwork to the music, the vibes were immaculate. I only wish I had found this place sooner! I can see this being a new fave joint of mine
Had the 8 Alford St and loved how the jalapeños bring out the flavor, on an Asiago bagel of course, noms!! i’m just bummed i didn’t take an actual photo before i dove into it (excuse the blurry IG boomerang screenshot )
Plus the Cardamom Rose Latte was EXACTLY what i needed this cold winter day. i’ll be back for sure!
The staff are really nice here and it seems like a great place for group studies, working, and just hanging out enjoying delicious food! highly recommended!

My friends and I are always looking for the next best bagel in our area and we stumbled upon this lovely spot. I got the cajun home fries and a bacon egg and cheese with chipotle mayo. It was the perfect bite, and a supportive atmosphere. The staff made sure I had every chance to personalize my meal with their vast selection of sauces and spices. I really appreciate some taste in my meal, and that can be hard to find in a bagel around here. But look no further New York Bagel & Coffee has you covered. Also the live illustrations on the TV make for an entertaining meal!

I stopped by on my way home and thought I’d try a new place for a bagel. It was a little more expensive than more artisan bagels you can get at like black sheep or park bagelry. And it was just fine. I would maybe go back to try their espresso drinks. The packaging was also a little excessive. The vibe also was kinda surprising. The staff is really nice.

Food was amazing! I haven’t had a gluten free bagel this yummy since NYC!! The kids area with the adorable chairs and small tables is excellent. My iced tea was perfect, my husbands coffee was excellent and the adorable reusable cups are great!

The cheese pizza is average (kinda like frozen pizza, not worth the price of $14 and def not like NY pizza). The service is good! I liked the throwback music they played.
The AI art is interesting tho… I see the review replies from the owner saying the art isn’t AI but it clearly is, and as a Gen Z, I feel all Gen Z (the major population of Allston) will be able to tell. Even the coloring sheets are AI. Perhaps, the Gen Alpha will like it… but they aren’t the ones paying…
I think the owner got scammed by the artist that claimed they drew this by hand, at least I hope so. It seems like it was AI generated and then traced over so they can call it “hand drawn.” If most ppl are calling out the AI, I fear it is not helping the business regardless. AI slop is ugly and that’s that.
I don’t believe this place will last long, as Allston is a very competitive space for food businesses. Take these reviews as feedback and work on them rather than fighting and getting butt hurt in the replies.
If the owner replies to this feedback with more of their glass ego, I’m not returning and I suggest no one else return either. No hate, just constructive criticism <3

This place has amazing breakfast sandwiches, I love the onion bagels! They are so soft and toasted perfectly! The hot and cold coffees are really good tooo! I will be coming here a lot! It’s like being in a New York bagel shop right in Allston, I love it!

Such a lovely family-owned business! They were open at 5 am for rowers like us coming for the head of the Charles, and could not have been kinder! The muffins, bagels, and cookies are delectable, and the coffee is excellent! Plenty of street parking and lots of room to sit down. Our new “go-to” spot!
