At first, we were a little thrown by the ordering process. You’re supposed to order online and then go to a side room of Harvester to pick up your pizza. We didn’t realize that, so when we found the entrance and walked in, it turned out to just be a small room, though we could tell Harvester was just behind the curtain. Once we found the hostess, she was kind and explained the process. She took our order, and we waited in the designated pizza area for our food.
We ordered the S.P.O. and the Wild Mushroom Pie, both of which sounded amazing on the menu. The crust ended up being one of the best I’ve tasted light and chewy. However, the pizzas looked quite different from the pictures, and the flavor just didn’t match our expectations. I was hoping for bold, layered flavors that really stood out, but while they were good, they fell a bit flat.
For around $20 per pizza (with eight slices each), I expected to be blown away, especially given the reputation of Harvester Kitchen and the emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients. I understand that locally sourced food often costs more, and I appreciate that, but I think the flavor should match the price point.
In the end, while Nunzio’s Food Hall has potential and clearly uses quality ingredients, I left underwhelmed and probably won’t return. I really wanted this to be the great pizza spot Sioux Falls has been needing, but for now, I’ll stick with other local favorites that deliver more flavor.
Ordering online was super easy. The website was very user friendly. Upon pickup, I was greeted with a smile immediately from a server and she let me know my pizzas were ready.
On my drive home I could smell the wood fired pizzas and I couldn’t wait to eat them. I ordered the ‘wild mushroom pie’ & the ‘SPO’ which is sausage, peppers, and onions. They were so good. The crust is so perfect. The creamy sauce on the mushroom pie was great. As well as the quality of the mushrooms. My favorite part of the SPO was the sausage. It has a great little touch of spice to it.
Would definitely recommend I’ll be ordering again in the future!

Ordering was fine, although they make you pay upfront and tip before you even get your food, which is never a great sign. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and spaghetti with meatballs.
The pizza came out with a large piece of wood baked right into the middle (see photo). That’s not just a small mistake that could seriously hurt someone. When we brought it up, the manager (I assume) didn’t apologize and simply said, “it’s a wood-fired pizza.” That’s not an excuse. I actually have a wood-fired pizza kitchen at one of my properties, and I’ve never served a pizza with wood in it.The spaghetti was also unacceptable it was cold to the touch, and the meatballs were nearly freezing. When we asked to have it heated up, it seemed like they just threw it in a microwave. It came back unevenly heated and didn’t taste right. We live in Cherapa Place, so we were hoping this would be a go-to spot, but unfortunately, we won’t be back. Also price does not match portion size or quality not even close.
