Had take out from Nuno’s for the first time in a long time. Not sure if it’s the Chianti talking to me or not, but I thought it was really good. Went with the Bife a Casa cooked medium. Comes with fries, rice, two eggs and I added 2 stuffed shrimp. Nice thick piece of steak was cooked perfect and the sauce was great, love the caramelized garlic cloves. The stuffed shrimp was really good. Ritz cracker base with seafood stuffing for the win. Very nice addition to the steak. I also got some cod fish cakes and they were really good for those of us with childhood memories of grandma’s codfish cakes. Wife got the junior steak as well. Parking in the area is tough, if your dinning in look for the lot on Coffin Ave.

So pleased with the atmosphere, clean bathroom BUT let me tell you about the food…WOW we had chicken wings to start crispy on the outside juicy inside. The baked stuffed shrimp dish and pasta with little necks, shrimp and chorizo in a Spanish sauce phenomenal! We were greeted and checked on as soon as we walked in and our waitress was so attentive we’ll definitely be back!

I was impressed with how friendly and polite the staff was while being professional. The food was delivered very fast and everyone’s meats were cooked perfectly. My swordfish was juicy and melted in my mouth. My sister’s meat had a delicious char on it. The Halibut my dad ordered was delicate & tasty. My mom’s octopus was what she called: *chef’s kiss*.

An amazing dining experience today for lunch at Nuno’s in New Bedford. Between the tuna largareiro and the bacalhau (codfish) à Brás two outstanding plates complimented with equally great service by the staff and ownership. Can’t wait to return the next time very soon.

My husband and I come here often. When they’re super busy and when they’re not the food is always consistently good! and not overly spicy coming from someone who doesn’t like “heat” in her food. Some Portuguese restaurants are so heavy on the spice you can’t taste any other flavor but here everything is perfectly tasty. The staff is wonderful and the owner Nuno is always there making sure everything is per his standards. He takes such pride in delivering excellent food and service. He’s a wonderful and kind man to speak to and really cares about his customers. Not to mention this place is always so clean, from the dining room, bar, kitchen and even bathrooms! Great traditional Portuguese and non traditional food selection and wine list, it’s must try!
