I ordered the fresh spring rolls with grill minced pork. The rolls were fine, I just wish they had mint. The dipping sauce was different than the usual traditional sauce, but I like the combination.
The second dish I ordered was bánh xèo. This is one of my favorite dishes and it’s quite hard to find anywhere in Cleveland. The crepe was nice and crispy. There were plenty of veggies and meat in it. The nước chấm was quite nice as well. These combinations helped a lot because I felt that the crepe itself was a bit bland.
I definitely want to come back and try a few more dishes there before I give my final feedback, but I like it so far and would recommend this place to everyone.
After our atmosphere shock wore off I ordered exactly what I came for Bo Kho!!! If this is a new management and staff they did their big one with this dish!
The meet A1 TENDERISM!!! The broth with some chili oil, lime, and sprouts and the egg noodles … Vietnamese comfort in a bowl! Definitely a go to for a Cleveland winter.
When we arrived, the place was really crowded, but about 15 minutes later we got a table. It seems the staff here are not fully trained yet, so they were a bit confused. First, when guests are seated, it usually takes 5–10 minutes before they ask about drinks. After serving drinks, they should ask whether the guests want to order food right away or wait.
In our case, we were served in a way where all the orders had to be placed at once, so the waiting time was rather long (about 15 minutes, even though it wasn’t busy anymore).
We ordered 2 sugarcane juices, 1 coffee with milk, 1 avocado smoothie, special rice, dry noodles, Hue beef noodle soup, and thick noodle soup.
Later, the staff came to tell us that the sugarcane juice was out, so we switched to cold water. However, the coffee with milk and the avocado smoothie were brought out first, while the 2 glasses of cold water never came. After that, the food was served, and even after eating for a while, we still didn’t have our drinks or a plate of vegetables. Only when we asked did they bring it out. On the table, there were also no condiments like fish sauce, soy sauce, chili sauce, pepper, etc.
And we noticed something strange — the spray bottle for cleaning tables was kept together with the condiments???
The food was relatively decent, the broth was tasty, but we didn’t understand why when ordering dry noodles it came with a small bowl of soup, yet the special rice didn’t (apparently you only get soup if you order grilled pork rice??).
Overall, they should have a basket or tray with all condiments ready. The prices are a bit high compared to what we had. The avocado smoothie was also on the expensive side…
