Nuevo Laredo Cantina in Atlanta, Georgia is absolutely worth a visit. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this is a very popular spot—it was extremely busy, which speaks volumes about its reputation.
The food came out exactly as ordered, fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. One of the things that really stood out was the menu, which offers several unique items you don’t always see at a typical Mexican restaurant, making it fun to try something different. Everything we had was delicious and thoughtfully made.
The staff was very kind, attentive, and welcoming despite how busy the restaurant was, which made the experience even better. While it may be a little pricey for lunch, I genuinely felt that the quality, portion size, and overall experience made it worth every penny.
I would absolutely recommend Nuevo Laredo Cantina to anyone looking for great food and a memorable dining experience in Atlanta.

The best authentic Mexican restaurant in Atlanta! Enjoy chips, salsa and queso. Our table loved everything they ordered, burrito grandes, tacos and chimichangas! The brisket was awesome and melted in your mouth! Had some ice cold margaritas, beers and sodas! Table, booths, and bar seating. Parking onsite and across the street.

Eclectic atmosphere and the best Cantina meal in Atlanta! We had about a 20 minute wait on a Thursday evening for 2 guests. Waited outside on the red brick steps and caught up under the full moon. A nice evening and worth the wait!

Great Mexican/Central American restaurant with a number of authentic dishes hard to find elsewhere and wonderfully eclectic and colorful atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are large. Be careful with the complementary chips and salsa as it’s easy to gobble several baskets of the chips, ours were so freshly baked they were still warm. And the service was very friendly and prompt. Definitely going back.

Omgggg. I think they threw away the flavor and served what was left. Awful !! I had the 2 taco lunch special with rice and refried beans. I added the hot sauce to help flavor the beans – no luck. It was clear that there was no seasoning on the ground meat in the taco.

We usually go for a pitcher of their frozen house margarita — trust me, that alone is enough to get a good buzz going. On our recent visit, we ordered the large queso, steak fajitas, nacho asada, and steak diablo. Every dish hit the mark with bold flavors and generous portions.
The place was packed, and we waited about 35–40 minutes for a table. But parking was surprisingly easy — they have two lots on the same side of the street and one across from the restaurant. Despite the crowd, our server was incredibly attentive, and the whole team worked together seamlessly to make sure we were taken care of.
If you’re looking for delicious Mexican food with a lively atmosphere and strong drinks, Nuevo Laredo is always worth the wait.

Came for dinner on a weeknight to see what it was about. We were not disappointed. The food was all great and there was quite a few folks but we were still seated very quickly. The house margarita was good and only $6. Only recommendation is if you aren’t ready to eat a lot of food then order of the al a carte menu because the portions are very generous. We will definitely be coming back for our next Mexican dinner night.

There is a good reason why there is a wait at dinner time and lunch. Plan accordingly, wait your turn and you will be transported to authentic Mexican food Nirvana.
