recently had the chance to dine at Nuevo Bar & Grill, and it was a fantastic experience from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere immediately stood out — vibrant, welcoming, and full of energy without being overwhelming. It has that perfect balance of a fun bar vibe mixed with a comfortable dining experience.
The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen pays attention to quality and freshness. The portions were generous, and everything came out hot and prepared just right. Whether you’re in the mood for something hearty off the grill or classic favorites with a twist, Nuevo delivers in a big way.
The drinks were just as impressive. The bar staff clearly knows what they’re doing — cocktails were well-balanced, refreshing, and made with care. It’s a great spot to meet friends, unwind after a long day, or enjoy a lively night out.
Service really tied the whole experience together. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. They checked in at the right times and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.
Overall, Nuevo Bar & Grill is a place I would absolutely recommend. Great food, excellent drinks, and a fun atmosphere make it a standout spot. I’ll definitely be back again soon

I ordered the chicken enchilada plate. The flavors were delicious, however, they included very little chicken.. It’s the least amount of chicken I’ve ever had in an enchilada.
I also requested light cheese, and it was covered with cheese. They knew they made an error, but did not offer to replace the order. I will not come back because of that.

I’ve been going to the restaurant for 20+ yrs. It has been going down hill since just after Covid. Yesterday I ordered two carne asada tacos rice and beens and within 10 mins our order arrived with the meat ice cold but completely cooked (how does that happen? Precooked food). I let our waitress know and asked if she could microwave the tacos and she laughed and said that was funny. I said to her not from my side as a paying customer. The ownership has lost interest in running this restaurant and should sell it or close it down.

Chicken tortilla soup… this location has the best I’ve had. and their chips and salsa are PERFECT. Their ribs are the best in Ramona with only one close competitor. While another local establishment has good ribs, we opt for Nuevo for overall appeal. Without doubt, they’re fresh and made onsite. THAT is awesome! This spot is a cozy go-to for mid-level dining; a place you’d want to go when you want something nicer than takeout, but not too overpriced. Nuevo is perfect for that! Friendly staff, always clean and seating is almost always right away. If there is a wait, it isn’t long.

First time dining at Nuevo Grill & Cantina. Pretty good place. It’s located in a strip mall so parking is easy. They fun decor on the inside and the place was clean which is always a plus. Food was really good. We got a fish taco ala carte, chips with guac, and the langostino lobster taco plate with rice and beans. I can really only speak to 2 of the 3 dishes we ordered. The chips & guac were really good but I was a bit disappointed that chips and salsa weren’t complimentary when dining there. The Langostino lobster taco plate is $18 and comes with one taco, rice, beans, and sour cream. It was really good but way smaller than I was hoping. Overall I thought it was good and would eat there again if I’m ever in Ramona
