Delicious, authentic Mexican food in charming, downtown Camas. Must have chips and salsa, tasty vegetarian and vegan options, fast friendly service. If you grew up eating Mexican food in Arizona, New Mexico or California, you will love Nuestra Mesa!

Well folks, we’re back. It’s been a minute since I’ve been compelled to write a review from the table but here we are again.
We just moved to the Camas area today. Tired, exhausted, we chose the safe option… you can’t go wrong with the local Mexican restaurant, amirite? WRONG!
Ambiance is cute… they could afford to dust the very visible spiderwebs from the ceiling but the vibe was attempted. Don’t twist your ankle on the crayons in the floor or the food you crunch on as you walk through the bar.
Fortunately, the drink was good (the ONLY positive aspect of the entire experience).
We decided to split fajitas because… it’s the safe option, amirite? WRONG.
The server (not ours) brought this poor tiny tray of food. Threw it in front of us and asked if there was anything else we needed while he walked away (never even waited for an answer). Yeah bud, we need #1 the rest of our meal #2 PLATES, #3 a fresh hot meal not the crusty cold microwaved crap you just threw in our faces. Could he make it worse? Yes, yes he did. He then verbally acknowledged the fajitas were cold and said “they usually come hot and fresh but they forgot your order”.
After a solid 10 minute wait, we finally flagged down our server. We explained the food was cold and that we were even told it was cold. We asked for a warm meal. After anotheer 15 minute she returned with a bowl of microwaved beans and a bowl of microwaved rice to mix with our cold meat to make it warm. WHAT?
When that hit the table, we asked for our check immediately to which she replies that she hopes everything was really good and we enjoyed our meal? WHAT? We’re leaving without finishing it, it’s awful.
NO chance we’ll be back or recommend this place. There are so many better options, this place was overall terrible.

I would like to make a complaint about my recent visit.
I ordered a burrito that was supposed to come with guacamole, but it was missing when my food arrived. I had to ask for it separately, which was inconvenient.
I also asked for green sauce, but the waitress brought out a different sauce instead. I was later charged for it without being informed that there would be an extra cost. If I had known, I would have declined it.
Additionally, the waitress was very rude and unhelpful throughout the interaction, which made the experience even more disappointing.
Overall, the service and communication were poor, and I was unhappy with the experience. I hope this issue can be addressed so other customers do not have the same experience

Great atmosphere, loved the food and the service was fabulous. The walkability in downtown Camas is great and the parking is ample. We sat in the bar but lots of seating in the main restaurant. We were there during an outdoor festival. Don’t miss this fun experience with great Mexican food. We loved the chips and dip as well as the burrito and the street tacos.

Amazing atmosphere and every server is very nice, compassionate, and really cares about your meal. The food is absolutely marvelous and delicious. My dad and I come every Thursday for dinner and we always have a good time. It’s always absolutely perfect. I get two fish tacos a brussel sprout bowl and my dad gets a Carne en Jugo. We drink guava Juatitos. You should definitely try it.

We have come to Nuestra Mesa many times and our waiter is always great (the younger guy) so we always tip well. The food is phenomenal. Great to have a non-alcoholic Corona with some tacos. Happy hour prices are stellar. We are trying to make this a Friday tradition. Keep up the great work!

The food is noticeably salty
Their famous ceviche has way too much heat to it.
As a consumer I would recommend having your patrons add their own salt or heat to their own dishes.
You would get a better finished product per customer that would suite them.

First off, our server was very kind and we enjoyed conversing with her. We ordered chips, salsa, and Guac. The chips taste oily and vaguely burnt and most importantly are too thick, I can’t bite thick and hard foods with my front teeth and we were not expecting a thick chip which made the salsa and Guac useless. our server was kind about it and said unfortunately the manager wasn’t around for a refund but we didn’t ask for one so that wasnt an issue besides wondering why a manager wasn’t around during lunch hour. The food was visually good and tasted fine but nothing to rave about. The fajita burrito was kinda sweet and a ton of oil poured out of it but it was edible. The worst thing in this place was cleaniless… Table was super sticky, chairs and floors had food crumbs and dirty napkins that weren’t ours. The bathrooms were gross, the walls themselves are off-putting and NEED to be cleaned. I unfortunately had a glass that I drank off of a few times that had pink lipstick that was not mine.. all in all for $80 some dollars I’d say I wouldn’t go out of my way to return but hope it was just an off day.

Amazing service. The food was over-sauced. Three different types of tacos… all dripping with excessively sweet sauces. Taco bowl was soaked too. If you choose to go here … ask for very light sauce. Our entrees were barely edible and we didn’t finish them. Our server was very nice and attentive.

Great food and lively spirits in downtown Camas. The food is delicious, especially the burritos and the chips and salsa. The guacamole is awesome. This is a great spot to meet up with friends for a drink or have a family dinner. Nice stop!
