All dishes were super yummy! Everything was full of flavour and beautifully prepared.
We are vegan and don’t eat onion or garlic, and the staff were so kind and accommodating — they prepared everything specially for us without any problem. We really appreciated the care and attention.
The green curry was absolutely amazing — rich, fragrant and perfectly balanced.

Stunning service, exquisite flavours and a cosy vibe. Excellent for families and groups of all sizes. We especially loved the ribs, the tom cha soup and the beef thai green curry. Excellent range of cocktails with a talented mixologist on site. Thank you for an awesome food experience.

Absolutely incredible experience at Rototuna Nua Thai! From the moment we walked in, we felt so warmly welcomed. Carmen, the manager, was genuinely amazing, kind, understanding, and so accommodating. As Hindus, we don’t eat beef, and being able to substitute beef for chicken without any hesitation meant the world to us. It was honestly heart-warming to be able to enjoy our favourite Thai curries without having to sacrifice our beliefs. That level of respect and care does not go unnoticed, and Carmen made us feel so seen and respected.
The food… wow. I’m still in a food coma. Every dish was packed with flavour, perfectly cooked, and incredibly comforting. I came with Dexter and my grandparents, who had travelled down from Auckland, and they were beyond impressed. My grandad especially loved the chicken green Thai curry, he couldn’t stop talking about how rich, fragrant, and delicious it was. Seeing him enjoy his meal so much made the night even more special.
And the mango sticky rice… absolute perfection. The best way to end the meal after we demolished most of what we ordered. Sweet, creamy, and beautifully balanced, the perfect dessert to finish an already unforgettable meal.

My daughter and I visited our new local NuaThai Rototuna this eve, and were kindly recommended a few of the most popular appetisers.
They were all so good, but the ‘home made prawn cakes’ were incredible. Flavoursome, juicy and just perfect.
We will be back very soon to try some more items from the menu.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing dining experience.
The service lacked basic hospitality, and staff interactions felt unfriendly and unprofessional. Dining out is meant to be an enjoyable experience, but the overall atmosphere made us feel uncomfortable rather than welcomed.
The food quality was also below expectations. Several dishes tasted like pre-prepared food rather than freshly cooked meals. I ordered my steak medium rare, but it was served significantly overcooked, closer to medium well. For a restaurant charging premium prices, basic cooking standards like correct steak doneness should be expected.
The billing process was another issue. Despite the high prices, the bill calculation was handled poorly. Staff returned multiple times to correct payment amounts, creating confusion and interrupting our meal. Customers should not have to deal with repeated payment issues after already paying for an expensive meal.
Overall, the experience did not justify the price, and the repeated service and billing issues significantly affected our evening.
I would not recommend this restaurant based on our experience.
