This was the absolute worst bun bo hue I ever had. I don’t think it was bun bo hue at all. It was an abomination. The noodles were from their vermicelli noodle bowls, for sure. They were thin & tasteless, not the thick & chewy traditional kind. The meat fillings had to be from their banh mi menu. There wasn’t any pork knuckle, just thinly sliced pork loaf & bbq pork (which is definitely from their banh mi menu). It came with 4 leaves of basil. The broth was only spicy, but not red in colour, no lemongrass aroma, no shrimp paste/seafood taste. I’m pretty sure the broth was originally pho broth & then they threw 1/8 tsp of bun bo hue paste into the to-go container. Pictured is “bun bo hue”. Looks (and tasted) nothing like an actual bun bo hue.
We also ordered the deluxe pho, but it’s just bo vien with dac biet pricing. No rare pieces of beef, just 2 well done slices and 3-4 cut up pieces of beef ball. The broth was also so bland. Not a hint of any pho spices, it just had a slightly beef broth taste. Campbell’s Beef Broth has more flavour. It came with ONE string of cilantro.
Our order was so astonishingly bad. If we could give this place zero stars, we would.

Family run Vietnamese canteen inside a Ford dealership. Inconceivable! It’s surprisingly pretty good food and warm, friendly service.
Everything was tasty and piping hot. Prices are really reasonable. Might be due to where they’re operating out of. Mostly takeout orders. There are tables to sit down and look at cars.
I’d come back when in the area but not go out of my way to do so. Because it’s mostly takeout, everything is served in takeout containers. (I don’t prefer hot soup in a plastic bowl. ) I still recommend. They are open later than most things in the area. Check it out!

Absolutely delicious, I have never been let down by this joint. Phenomenal pho, even better Bahn Mi sandwiches! Today I got the brisket pho and a chicken bahn mi, thinking I’d split them up for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow, and I have nothing left. That soup was huge too lol killer food, go buy it all!

Food was delicious, the deluxe pho and pork banh mi both exceeded expectations for the price. Seating area was small, but the owner was great and tended to us kindly.
We were hoping the banh mi would have a little more fillings but the bread was so good those last couple bites without filling weren’t mourned.

I was looking for a Vietnamese place close to home and stumbled across Nu Saigon. Very hidden, and inside the Vickar dealership. There’s seating inside and online ordering available. I ordered a bowl of deluxe Pho online and the order was ready on time. The Pho was much better than expected! Came with all the normal fixings, and a lot of noodles! The broth had a nice oily sheen (a good sign of homemade broth) and the brisket was very tender. Broth could have used a tad more salt, but easily remedied at home. Good portion of meat and cheaper than most places in the West End. The owner was very nice. I’ll definitely try more items on the menu next time!

Ordered here for the first time after being recommended this place. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. I ordered the shrimp and pork salad rolls and the beef short ribs vermicelli bowl. Will definitely be back.

It’s no news that we have a shortage of good restaurants in West Kildonan, and I was bummed out to see Pho 1 777 close, but hot damn, first time ordering from here, and I’m convinced this is my new go-to! I don’t know how long it’s been around, but I’m glad I found it.

I just went to a restaurant and ordered two pho soups and two chicken buns. From the moment I paid until I got my food, it took 40 minutes. I sat there waiting while they kept serving other people. Then a woman of Asian appearance came in after me, and she got her order before I did. This feels like racism. I honestly don’t understand why they told me my order would be ready in 15 minutes.
