First of all I refuse to give a 5 to anyone- any restaurant – that doesn’t deserve it. Novecento on the island of key Biscayne, Florida deserves it hands down. We are passionate about following expert award winning chefs so are critical of service, presentation and quality of food. And we travel around the world experiencing flavors of the world.
Our recent experience at Novecento was spot on! Checking off all the boxes (as Paul Hollywood would say on the British Bake off ). We took advantage of the ‘34th anniversary lunch / dinner menu”.
A great 3 course meal at almost half the price and to top it off the ‘50% off Tuesday’ special on the fabulous wine selections.
My burrata and my husband’s Ceviche = fabulous and generous. All 3 of us ordered NY Steak, again spot on – cooked as ordered, and a generous portion, and flavorful. I rarely order mashed potatoes and not only did I eat mine I had to help my aunt with hers too!
The deserts- also something I generally skip – I couldn’t resist; excellent Flan, outstanding Crepes with Dulce de Leche with spectacular vanilla ice cream.
And the Wine!!! Absolutely amazing. Thank God my husband is quite a connoisseur of wines. It was fabulous to the last drop.
Luis Perez was our waiter and he was truly focused on our any everyone’s needs. Not missing a beat to make sure orders were paced nicely, not crowding you or rushing you – so your intimate moment was unforgettable !

Right in the heart of Key Biscayne. The food is fresh and excellent. Best calamari I had in years. The empanada and pasta dishes taste like they were just made from scratch. I would recommend the milanese dishes and the salads are top notch. Don’t pass up the coffee and also, they have a full bar. I’m going to be a regular going forward here. They have indoor and outdoor seating

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Key Biscayne! The service is exceptional—warm, attentive, and always making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The food quality is outstanding, consistently delicious, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is charming and inviting, perfect for any occasion. My favorite dish is the tagliatelle bolognese—it’s rich, comforting, and truly unforgettable. Every visit is a great experience, and I can’t recommend this place enough!

I went with Italian friends that love 900 style, and wanted to check the new location in Key Biscayne. The new restaurant has a beautiful design inside, and the terraza is very enjoyable. We ordered Ceviche con Tostones and Croquetas de Queso Manchego y Jamon Serrano. For the mains, Tallarin con Ragu de Lomo and Ravioli. And finally, what a great decision: Sinfonia 900, the tasting dessert with panqueque, flan mixto… a little bit of everything. OMG. My friends were amazed with the quality of the food and we had a wonderful time. The staff are always very friendly and attentive. Kudos to the new 900 Key Biscayne! Highly recommended.

Starting on a high note—the empanadas are phenomenal, easily the best I’ve had anywhere, and just as perfect as they were when I first tried them here four years ago. The chimichurri was also delicious. That consistency, along with the friendly staff, is what earns this place three stars.
Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn’t hold up. I ordered the ribeye medium rare, but it arrived almost moo-ing and far too fatty to redeem even if cooked perfectly. I should’ve sent it back but didn’t bother—the cut itself just wasn’t worth the effort.
The wine list was another disappointment: uninspired selection and roughly a 4x markup on bottles, so we passed altogether. I’ll definitely return, but only for the empanadas—they’re the clear standout here.

No coordination between kitchen and front of house, no management oversight and the food is of low quality. The food was terrible. My salad came with lettuce on top and French fries below. So everything was wilted. Who does that?! Chicken very dry and minimal dressing. A server wouldn’t respond when I called out to her and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. I had to go and find someone who would listen. We waited a long time for a cold appetizer. Five minutes later the entrees came but we didn’t even have time to eat the appetizer ls and the servers were trying to place the plates in top of our appetizers! One of the entrees was wrong and one of the servers was trying to argue with my husband about it. Luckily, our particular server checked and advocated for us or else we would have been stuck. Don’t come here.
