Extremely Disappointing Experience
As a restaurant enthusiast who dines out frequently, I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was truly one of the worst. My partner and I visited on Valentine’s Day hoping for a quality sushi dinner, but were met with rude, unprofessional service and subpar food. From the moment we walked in, the host ignored us while greeting other guests. Two parties were seated before us until another customer alerted staff that we had been waiting. The server was dismissive and unpleasant, acting disgusted when serving us and responding rudely to questions, which made us feel unwelcome. Portions were small, the food was greasy, and I even found a hair in my dish.
Overall, poor service, unprofessional behavior, and low-quality food made this a deeply disappointing experience. I hope management addresses these issues, so all customers feel respected and welcomed.

This place is pretty pricey to be honest BUT the food was really good! I got the beauty & the beast roll, the shrimp tempura roll, miso soup, and spicy garlic wings. The beauty & the beast roll was so good I ordered two servings but it was $18… Anyways, the service was quick and the menu was pretty large. They had a variety of dishes that aren’t limited to just sushi. It wasn’t busy at all and I would come again if I ever find myself in downtown Atlanta. I did have to pay for parking nearby though.
p.s. – totally unrelated, but I also got complimented by another customer in the bathroom! she liked my purse and the keychains I had on it

Went for a dinner date with my hubby. Service was terrible, all the food was terrible. Sushi looked like some one played in it. We were rushed the whole time. Manager made us pay 50% of a dish that was terrible plus a new dish made completely wrong. Waitress kept catching an attitude and walking off. I will not be back. We used to be regulars here.

We just had dinner there and we can say: the food is very good.
The only complaint is that our order took a bit too long to arrive but it was worth waiting for it. We highly recommend 🙂

Do not go here. Sushi is great but they add an 18% gratuity and provide terrible service . I sat at the bar. Seated myself, Waited to be served and my server walks up and hands me a menu and walks off. No greeting or nothing. She came back took my order but kept walking off thinking I was done ordering and I was not. My sushi chef handed me my food over the bar. She then never checked in, I had to asked the sushi chef for items I needed. When I received my bill that took forever to receive after again asking for it. I asked her why is 18% gratuity included when my bill was not that much and I was alone. She said it’s a sign on the door. I said where? Show me. She pointed to the sign on the door. As you see in the photos attached It’s a badly printed page long word document and it’s in small words at the bottom . And it’s POSTED ON THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR IN THE RESTAURANT. It’s a photo posted from an outside view as well. You will not see it until you are leaving. Ridiculous and classless. Purposely put there to be missed but used as a reference when the staff is questioned. I would have much rather tipped my wonderful sushi chef, not my server who was not attentive, personable, or deserving of it. She didn’t do anything! Will not be back. It’s too many other sushi restaurants in the area that have better sushi and service and aren’t shady with tipping. Do not come here. My server’s name was Hannah. Beware.

Food, service, & vibe is consistently awesome! I’ve been ordering from them for a while. Their any 2 rolls + salad for $15 during lunchtime is such a good deal! 10/10!

They impose an automatic 18% on your final bill. If you say something about that, they will start screaming at you in front of everyone. They say it’s written on the window however no one reads small notes in the window. They also raised their prices to double what it used to be. Quality of food has gone down. We realized it’s a Chinese restaurant serving Sushi so be careful. They use cheap farm raised Salmon thats been fed hormones and charge you astronomical amounts of money faking that it’s high quality. Scallops smell fishy.

Came here because we were craving sushi, and it was nearby. Never been and reviews were good, so we decided to go mid-afternoon. Not sure if everyone was having a bad day, but no one greeted us, and it took 10+ minutes until someone actually came by to take our order. We went ahead and ordered drinks, and he asked if we wanted to order food and said we just needed a minute, but would have it together after the drinks – felt rushed since we were already waiting for a while and didn’t know the menu. Drinks came out quickly, and he was quick to order. Once the salads and appetizer came out we were still eating and he was in the hurry to come out with the sushi and interupted us and asked for us to move the food so he could put out the sushi even though we were still working on it and there was plenty of table space to set out the sushi. On top of that, even though we were eating and talking, he brought out the check and kept checking if a card was in there. Felt rushed, no kindness, and can’t imagine anyone feeling like that’s okay if roles were reversed. We all have bad days, but keep that at home, especially in the service industry, where it’s a performance-based industry. Not expecting anything out of the ordinary, but not happy with how we were treated. No apology, no warmth, very transactional. If you’re wondering if we’re “hard to deal with,” we are super easy, and both in the service industry, and we believe that service is important. Hate to leave a negative review and willing to overlook things if someone is too busy or apologetic, etc but if it really rubs me the wrong way for someone being blatantly rude for no reason.

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The service felt biased and unwelcoming. I noticed a clear difference in how Black customers were treated compared to white customers. Our table received slower service, less attention, and a noticeably colder attitude from the staff, while nearby white customers were treated much more kindly and attentively.
On top of that, the restaurant automatically added a gratuity for a party of only two people, which felt unnecessary and was never clearly explained. Given the poor service we received, this only added to the frustration.
Dining out should feel welcoming and respectful for everyone, regardless of race. Sadly, that was not the case here. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place to others, especially people of color!!

Love this place!! Fast service, tasty food!!
I almost always get the same dish here (hibachi plate) but switch up the protein. Today I got the shrimp hibachi. I like how it comes with a good amount of veggies. It is served with ginger salad and rice. Yumm!
My husband got the steak teriyaki plate. Me liked the hibachi cowl better as it was more veggies! Still excellent flavors but we both prefer the hibachi entree over the teriyaki. The yum yum sauce that comes with it is always good !
