The food selection found at a gas station can be surprisingly diverse. The unexpected presence of a Lebanese restaurant is certainly intriguing to consider. Preparing delicious meals out of a gas station is a testament to the chef’s skills. It is fascinating how a convenience store can offer an array of dining options. This unique culinary setup can be a delightful surprise for any customer.

(Last visited 4/7/2025.) In Boston on business and my hotel is in Revere, but I’m coming from the west so I wanted to stop somewhere to eat that was on the way to where I was staying. I used my handy-dandy Yelp Boston app and landed on Nour cafe! I saw that they had #shawarma and that it was some of the best in the area, so here’s how it went!

Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is literally a gas station, but there’s nothing wrong with that. You pull up to the Shell, get some gas or park at a pump that’s out of order or one of the available parking spots off to the right, but this place isn’t really designed for you to dine in. Lol. Yes, you can sit in and eat off to the left side, but they really want you to leave. Once inside you make a right and above the drink coolers are a series of TVs that show you the menu. Continue to your right and you’ll see the kitchen where all of the magic happens. Simple setup here.

Service: There isn’t any. You walk up to the counter, order your food, pay for it where you’d normally pay for gas then wait for them to call your name. My food was ready in 10 minutes.

Food: I went with the mixed grill plate because I just FELT IN MY SOUL that I’d get a WHOLE LOT of food. Boy was I right! Lol. So the mixed grill plate comes with chicken shawarma, steak shawarma, ground lamb kabob, rice, a big pita, pickled vegetables, a slaw, a grilled onion mixture and hummus. Wow. Everything was SO good, SO seasoned and SO filling. I literally could eat on this for 2 and maybe 3 meals! I broke the pita into 4 smaller pieces and then made mini shawarmas with different meats in them! Lol. It was a bit messy, but you can totally eat this with a fork and knife without a problem. The food was excellent.

Value: $16.99 is what I paid and when I got to my hotel then opened the lid to see all of that food I was just so blown away. How did they make any money by giving me all of this?! Lol. Astounded. Everything on the menu is cheap and there were many things under $10.00.

In conclusion, I’d definitely pull up and get this exact same meal again! I went with the mixed grill to experience the different meats this place had to offer. I loved eating from here.

Searched late night halal found this place. I pulled and was not expecting a gas station, but it was very busy little parking. Place was busy people eating inside and waiting for food.

It’s some of the best halal food I have ever had super flavorful. Ordered the mixed shawarma plate and defiantly would order it again. Some of the best hummus I have ever had. Gf got the falafel plate and also enjoyed it. Definitely will be back next time I’m near Rt 1 near boston

My mother decided for this Easter no one is cooking. So we decided to order from Nour Cafe. For 18 people we order 16 plates of mixed grill with salad & sauces on the side.
Let me just say 16 plates was way too much. We ended up with so much left overs.

I have to say. Best customer service from the 2 older male employees. They were all accommodating and friendly and knew exactly what I wanted to do for our event.

I have attached a photo of our Easter table
Thank you to the owners for a great service.

*My mom made the tabouli, Mostly everything else was from Nour.

If you’re in the mood for some delicious grilled meat, you simply have to try the mix grill chicken and kafka at Nour Cafe. This dish is a true delight for the taste buds, with perfectly seasoned and grilled chicken and kafka served with a side of rice, fresh veggies, and creamy hummus.

The chicken and kafka are both tender and juicy, with a rich and smoky flavor that’s simply irresistible. The seasoning is just right, with a perfect balance of spices that enhances the natural flavors of the meat. It’s a filling and satisfying dish that’s perfect for lunch or dinner.

And let’s not forget about the sides! The rice is perfectly cooked and fluffy, and the fresh veggies add a nice crunch and freshness to the meal. And of course, the hummus is creamy and flavorful, making for the perfect dip for the meat and veggies.

Whether you’re a meat lover or just looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, the mix grill chicken and kafka at Nour Cafe is a must-try. It’s made with high-quality ingredients and expertly prepared to bring out the best flavors of the meat. Don’t miss out on this delicious dish!

Hands down some of the best Arab / Mediterranean food we’ve had in the Boston area.

We had the mixed grill (comes with hummus pita rice and salad), tabouleh, and a date mamoul. Was enough to comfortably feed two people.

The meat was well seasoned and succulent, hummus was fresh and flavorful.

Whole meal cost $22. You can dine in (cafeteria style seating in the gas station, decently comfortable during a hot day). We’ll be back!
