This is ONE Greek salad with lamb that was split into two portions for myself and my husband. I love the owner Notis, he is always very pleasant and kind. I’ve been all over greece and this is the only authentic gyro place around. His portions are always so generous and his Greek fries are fresh cut and delicious. 10/10 recommend.

Notis The Gyro King was absolutely fantastic and a huge highlight of our wedding catering! Their Greek food truck served up incredible dishes, with the falafel being a definite standout—crispy, flavorful, and truly delicious. Their French fries were also excellent—hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. What really impressed us was how accommodating they were regarding dietary restrictions. A memorable moment was when my beloved Aunt Amy, who traveled all the way from Hawaii and is terribly allergic to onions, needed a special platter. The team went out of their way to prepare a dish completely free of onions, and we were incredibly grateful for their thoughtfulness. Their food quality, attention to detail, and friendly service made the day extra special. Highly recommend Notis The Gyro King for any event—top notch all around!

Best gyro in the union. I live an hour away so after 13$ in gas I can’t leave the biggest tip but I always give this place business. Have been for 5 plus years. Hope he understands. Best food and good service so I always go. Always tip. Take care.

We were driving back to Maryland from a week in Maine. Needed to stop for gas and googled lunch options.

Notis Gyro King popped up looked great so we plugged in the address. Was a bit surprised it was a food truck in a parking lot but glad we ate here. In July of 2024 the shopping area is under heavy construction but that didn’t put a damper on the food enjoyment.

Wife ordered the regular gyro and I the chicken gyro and we split an order of the greek fries. While all were tasty the greek fries with feta were extra.

And bring your appetite and grab lots of napkins and some forks because man are the gyros loaded to overflowing.

Proprietor is engaging and fun.

Driving in the Wilkes Barre area and want delicious Greek food, look no further.

I stopped at their new 2nd location over in Exeter across from the turkey hill. I tried the shish kabob and their gyro. Let me tell you, the chicken for the kabob had a nice grill on the outside while still being tender on the inside. The flatbread was warmed up on the grill and went really good with their sauce, the name is evading me right now. My gyro was packed to where I had to eat it with a fork, and I’m finishing the rest later as a snack, if I knew the kabob was that big I just would have went with the gyro. The gyro had the most tender lamb I have had in ages, you got a helping heap of lamb lettuce tomato onions and more sauce. The gentleman who was cooking very polite and welcoming, very professional. You all got to check this location out! Until next review be blessed and stay safe everyone!

This is the best Greek food I have ever had! Definitely lives up to his name of “The Gyro King.” I received a gyro with feta for $14, and a Greek salad for $11. For the amount of food, as well as the quality and freshness of the food, the price is perfect. I couldn’t finish the entire gyro myself and split half with my partner. He does not skimp on the feta either, as you can see my Greek salad has an entire brick of feta on it!! Yummy! I will be coming here every time I am in Wilkes Barre.

Excellent food, great service! I always try to stop by when I’m in the Wilkes-Barre area, no other gyros compare to these. The tzatziki is fresh and just delightful. Highly recommend this place, as I have for years.
