This was the best part of our road trip to Chemin-a-haute park! The atmosphere is just unbelievable – so relaxing and charming, a little nook on the side of the road, very quaint. There food is amazing, like a burger joint but high-quality and easy to eat on the road. The people were very nice and so were the other customers and locals.

Absolutely love this lil quaint place on the side of the road on Hwy 139 coming from Bastrop to Monroe. They ALWAYS fix my burger exactly like I want. I haven’t gotten one bad meal from here. And the ladies are super friendly. They really have a great variety for such a small place. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed.

Cheeseburger was delicious. Just what I was craving. Batter on Onion Rings was different. Couldn’t decide if I liked them. But overall, I was pretty satisfied with my lunch. Went online trying to find a great cheeseburger that wasn’t “fast food”. I hadn’t heard of this place, even though I’ve past it many times on way to Bastrop.

My husband drove 10 minutes out of the way to get here. Called in his order. She didn’t ask his name so when he got there she had to look for it. The lady working didn’t know how to use the card reader and had to call the owner to come take his money this took 15 minutes and his food was ready when he got there so it was cold! By the time get got it! She also gave him fries instead of onion rings. Not impressed and won’t be back! Why work there if you can’t work a basic card reader? Was a total waist of time!

Hands down, one of the best double burgers I have ever eaten! Seasoned perfectly, perfect sauce to meat ratio. Huge with great veggies as well.
Didn’t have the fries and the grilled shrimp was a little blah but still 5 stars if that helps indicate how yummy that burger was!
That being said – home cooked so don’t be in a hurry. It’s a little road side stop so plan on taking it to go. Nice little selection of bottled or canned sodas.
Will be back and try the fries and maybe check out another thing or two on the menu for sure.

First time here and loved it. We ate on their patio, so nice. I got a cheeseburger and onion rings and it was all delicious. I will sure be going back.
