Nostrana — literally ‘ours’ — invokes local. Simple food from honest ingredients. Pure. Regional. Italian. Opened in 2005, Nostrana is Chef/Owner Cathy Whims’ love letter to Italy. This is a restaurant built on relationships: with our amazing farmers and purveyors, our dedicated staff, and of course with you, our guest. We hope to offer something timeless and authentic in a beautiful space, the regional specialties of Italy deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest. We strive to be better every day.
Seasonally influenced Italian dishes, including popular thin-crust pizzas, in lodgelike digs.

Their pizza was good, but we have good pizza every where.
Definitely a great date night spot.
From the bread and olive oil to the wine pairings and pasta, everything was delightful.
The Strozzapreti beef and pork ragù was a perfect balance of meat, sauce, and pasta—all coming together with beautiful texture and flavor. Great pairing with the Chianti Classico Castell’In Villa, 2019.
Dessert (often something we skip) was a treat: My husband went with the Riesling ‘Noble Rot,’ Martin Woods, 2021—amazing.
Service was welcoming and friendly. Thank you, Jesse, for taking care of us.
Great atmosphere with elevated interior design. Warm wood tones. Sculptural overhead lighting. Special attention to detail creates a warm and inviting dining experience.
Can’t wait to visit Nostrana again.
The wine list was very extensive, both by the bottle and by the glass. The atmosphere and the decor in the restaurant was beautiful, festive for the holidays, but also felt very intimate. We loved it and will be telling our friends and definitely returning.
We were seated right away upon arrival, but unfortunately, the host placed us at a corner spot at the bar, where I had a view of the bar’s side. It felt a bit cramped and honestly gave off a “timeout corner” vibe. It was disappointing to be tucked away like that for a first visit, especially with other open seats available. Thankfully, my husband was kind enough to switch spots with me.
On a positive note, the bartender was attentive and friendly. The food was truly fantastic. My Negroni was spot-on, and the clams were hands down the best I’ve had at a restaurant.
One thing that caught me off guard was the 22% automatic gratuity, especially with an additional tip line still presented. Also, while my seating experience wasn’t ideal, the overall ambiance on the bar side was aesthetically pleasing. I appreciated learning that they source produce from their own farm and that employees have the option to help tend it such a great concept.
Overall, I would definitely go back, but next time I’ll opt for a table in the dining room for a more comfortable experience.
Overall it was the perfect experience and we will definitely be back!!!
We were also celebrating my friend’s birthday, and it was not acknowledged at all. Even more disappointing, the dessert we purchased for her was mistakenly given to someone else at our table. For a special occasion, that was really upsetting.
To top it off, a 22% service charge was automatically added to the bill despite the lack of service. I understand service charges can be standard, but it felt unjustified given the experience we had. We were also a table of 3????
As someone who works in healthcare and values professionalism and attentiveness, this experience was very disappointing.
