Eggplant parm and mozzarella garlic bread was delicious. Very small area but in a good way. Service was excellent, sat down, ordered our food, ate, paid, and left within an hour.

The best pasta restaurant in the DC area. The restaurant is relatively small and very intimate. Ita great for small groups. The food is as amazing as you can get.

Very good food! One of the best Fettuccini Alfredo’s I’ve had, very filling as well. The appetizer was fantastic. Quite expensive, but very tasty, and this is also D.C. so what can you do? Service was a bit slow in my opinion, it certainly was not busy while we were there, but we came not too long after opening time so perhaps that was it. Service was good.

Very small restaurant 10 min walking from the Capitol Hill.
Food was very good, waiter was very nice but I would not recommend this place. It took us 40 min for a bruschetta and 1:10h for the main dishes. This is not acceptable. If they were short on staff, which I don’t think was the case, they should let people know in advance. We lost our tour at the Capitol Hill.

Amazing food and great service. The calamari were the best we’ve tried in the US, the eggplant parmigiana sandwich was to die for and the last surprise came with the desert which as a classing cannoli but with a cinnamon twist in the crust. They even accommodated my little sister who only eats plain pasta.

Ordered a lasagna and a salad. Received a veggie lasagna instead. They were able to refund but not send the correct order. Called them and the guy said he would get his manager who couldn’t be bothered to talk to me. They told me to just order again which wouldn’t have even worked since it was below the minimum. Just super frustrating! They screw up really badly but then can’t be bothered to fix it or even try to do anything about it.

This family-owned quaint little Italian restaurant is located in Capitol Hill off the beaten path. They make the pasta and marinara sauce homemade from scratch, and their meatballs are all beef. The food was ok, not the kind of hole-in-the-wall little Italy type quality I was expecting when I saw it and read that everything was made there. I tasted a lot of salt. My test dish for any Italian restaurant is eggplant parm, and this particular one was so salty I could have been eating fish. It must have been a mistake it was so bad I couldn’t even fake it and politely swallow. The side of pasta was good, so I ordered something else. The server/management was extremely apologetic and accommodating. The meatballs were good, but again, not the hole-in-the-wall quality I was expecting, so even though they were good, I was still a little disappointed. I also had a side of vegetables as well, and those were delicious. Whatever seasoning was on them was quite tasty. Ceasar salad and cannoli were satisfactory, too, and my guest and I polished the rest of the food off. This place is busy and gets packed fast, but they do a good job of seating folks at the bar and keeping tables rolling without feeling rushed. They had a steady stream of take out orders, so they are clearly a local favorite.

Such a wonderful family owned restaurant with fresh made dishes that are absolutely delicious! The restaurant itself is cozy and the service was perfect. I had the spaghetti bolognese which was made to perfection and fresh made meatballs on the side and a glass of Montepulciano. Perfect dinner. Simple. Phenomenal. The owners are superb people. I would highly recommend making a reservation.

I cannot say enough about this quaint jewel. In an effort to steer clear of chain restaurants, I came across Nostra and decided to try them out today…so glad I did. With every exquisite bite you can taste the freshness of homemade cooking. The portions are healthy, so you may have to loosen a button before you leave. Our server was Jose and he was friendly and attentive. Will definitely return.

Oo Oo Oo! You’ve got to try this restaurant. They’ve got some really well balanced pizza, tried the meat lovers and veggie pie. Their calamari dish was also so great, crispy, not heavily oiled, and marinara sauce was delish. Service was great. I came mid afternoon, not busy, got to chose my table and food came around at a good pace.
Food from scratch and freshly done is worth the wait!
