What a great spot in the heart of Highland Park! It looks like nothing from the outside, and the blinds are closed so from the outside you don’t know if it’s even open or not. Then you enter and it’s filled to the brim with people! The place is family friendly, good ole burger joint / pub food place. Service is friendly, and the food we tried was decent. I had the bleue burger and my friends had a fun looking salad and a great looking melt. I’ll definitely be back – can’t wait for the weather to turn so I can try their patio!

If you have not gone here and you’re reading this, now is the time to go. My family and I had the absolute best service we have ever received at a restaurant. The staff was very friendly and attentative to your table. They gave us popcorn while we looked over the menu. The owner was present and came over to welcome us and introduce himself. He knew the names of people who came in to eat, which tells me two things, repete patrons, and he talks to his customers, vary rare these days.

There’s a reason Norton’s has been around so long besides the good. It’s the owner and staff who make the experience so friendly and inviting. We all need to go out for a meal on occasion, and this establishment is always a great time.

It’s a great restaurant for locals and families. Be ready to wait and have kids running around wildly throughout the restaurant and not disciplined by their parents. The food was excellent and the price is right. It’s too bad Highland Park doesn’t have more restaurant choices that doesn’t overload the one or two good restaurants it does have.

Food was good but a little skimpy for the price. I think I got 6 or 7 fries. My $22 steak sandwich was mostly bun and sauce. Service was good. My drinks never came close to being empty. Food was out fast. I’d try again.

The wait staff started out great but began acting weird when my guest asked other staff members for service. One made a remark to me basically accusing me of being racially biased against Latinos.

While waiting for a nearby kids party to end, we were happy to pop into Norton’s, which thankfully has later hours than most places in the area. The service was attentive and friendly. The food, mostly pub grub, was also great. If we lived closer I would definitely pop in on a regular basis to meet friends or take in a game. Recommend for sure.

This is the Patty Melt, a Norton’s staple. So cheesy and delicious and the grilled onions add a perfect level of sweet. Highly recommend.

Good food. Good service. Good drinks in a classic little bar atmosphere. Seems to be a local favorite.

I wouldn’t call it a dive joint, but there’s something about the atmosphere that pleasantly reminds one of such a place. In a good way. Super busy outdoor seating in the summer!
