Today, February 27th 2026 after not only living in Tomahawk, but I work ON MAIN STREET I HAD my first meal from “NORTHWOODS CAFE & COFFEEHOUSE”. Don’t make the same mistake that we did!!! While the food is BEYOND WORTH THE WAIT!!! I don’t recommend the waiting. I can say that we, at this business on Main Street will, without a doubt, be adding “Northwoods Cafe & Coffeehouse” for ourselves and our employees many more times in the upcoming weeks and months and we suggest you do the same!

I have been here a couple times and have always had a good experience. I like all their drinks, specially the lotus ones. I personally love the garlic chicken parm sandwich, the chips that come with it are delicious and fresh. Good breakfast options!

Big shoes to fill because Cafe on main was amazing. Wait staff was nice and there were a lot of them. Food came pretty fast. It’s better than the other breakfast place in town but not quite up to Cafe on main if that’s what you were expecting. The new interior is great it looks amazing inside. Like that they are using some local goods.

This café is AMAZING!! The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The coffee is delightful. Such a welcoming and inviting place. The staff is also helpful and attentive. Will definitely be returning next time I’m up North.

My husband and I made the trip here for the first time just last week after seeing all of their posts on Facebook. We were very happy with how friendly the staff was and how delicious the food was. We will for sure be returning again when we are in the area. I ordered the Bacon Jam Sandwich (incredible) and my husband ordered the French toast with sides (he loved his meal). We even ordered poutine to go for my father. We tried a bite of his food and it was amazing too! Definitely needs to be added to the menu. Can’t wait to try more!

First time here, I ordered the pesto chicken flatbread – WOW. my dad ordered the Hatchet burger and said it was the best burger he’s ever had. Here again to try the breakfast and got the country benedict with hash browns – 10/10 once again. tempted to keep this place a secret as we’ve been able to get in and out with no wait both times. Awesome friendly staff and attentive owner (i assume). Will definitely be back!
