Since 1961, Northside Dairy Haven has been a destination for families to celebrate life’s little wins. Such a great little place to get your fix! So many different things on the menu, but we opted for a #6 and a Flavor Burst ice cream cone.
This has become our favorite local place for a nice treat.
Workers are always pleasant, and the service is quick – even when they’re super busy!

The selection is so vast for food and ice cream, yet alone their sign is always hilarious quips. I stop in for pizza burgers which no one else has around the Metro area along with pork tenderloin sandwiches and numerous fried veggie options. Their pup cups are Skippy’s favorite of course haha. Mine is a chocolate shake or a vanilla & chocolate twist cone from years ago. One of the only places that still offer these nostalgic ice cream cones from my boomer generation. The staff is always friendly and nice every time we visit. Go support your locally-owned businesses to keep them in our communities. Last but not least the food is cooked fresh, never microwaved like a lot of fast food places.

This was a pleasant treat on our night out. I got the brownie boat and I definitely got what I paid for. The portions were a lot bigger than expected, however I was left wishing for more brownie as I felt it was 80% ice cream.

I spent 5 minutes deciding what I wanted and when I ordered, the price was 30% higher than the menu. I asked about that and they said they raised their prices but haven’t updated their menus….. What? And then they said the combo come with a side, so I chose mushrooms and then the total was still higher than the “new” price. I asked and they said “mushrooms are and extra charge”. Understandable but they didn’t mention that and tried to charge me for it.
The two cashier’s girls acted like this was my problem as well, which makes it hard to be understanding.
Maybe update your menu price before implementing the price change.

It was recommended to me to try the Friday fish sandwich, since it is Lent I’m on the hunt for meals on Friday. I came here at about 130 pm and ordered the Friday fish sandwich and an order of fries. It took about 8 minutes to get my order, it came out hot and all I can say is WOW!!! It was the best fish sandwich I’ve had period.
I’m a bit apprehensive to post this as it might increase my wait time in the future, but it was great. I told at least 10 people that they need to make the drive and try it.

Great place for a sundae, lunch or dinner. I got the sliders with cheese, regular fries and a lg Ice Tea. Sliders were cooked medium, well seasoned. Everything came with grilled onions, pickle and ketchup and mustard. Very tasty and filling. Good value too.

During my last visit, I had a large hot fudge sundae and they don’t skimp on the hot fudge like some other places I’ve been!
With so many chain places around that get away with poor quality because they have big advertising budgets, Northside is like taking a little trip back to how things should be…and taste!

I love Dairy Haven!! The food is delicious and comes out fast. Their ice cream is great, too! The workers are always super pleasant and fun. Prices are affordable. Fun little place to grab a bite anytime. Bring your dogs and get a pup cup!
