We used Northside BarBaQ catering service for our wedding and they did a fantastic job! They were on time, set up, and ready to go! We got so many compliments on the food! It was not only good, but nice and hot! They had great communication as well, which is super important to a bride! I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a catering service! We also have eaten there a couple times and the food was amazing! We definitely did not leave hungry!

The service was friendly and helpful. The food pleased everyone. Especially good was the barbecue sauce, the pickle chips, coleslaw, and macaroni salad. The buffalo sauce was good, but best served on the side in order to make the heat level exactly to your liking. Since we don’ t eat beef or pork, we really appreciated the variety of chicken dishes available. This was my third visit, and we will certainly be back again because the food is consistently excellent.

If google would allow me to give negative stars I would. I recently attended a wedding that used this place as a “caterer”….I use that term very loosely as this was a joke. The food was ice cold, and in 90° heat, that takes a lot of talent to pull off. The bride and groom ordered food buffet style for 200 people and there was *maybe* 100 people in attendance and there were tables that didn’t even get food. They literally brought more barbeque sauce than they did meat . The groom called these people and they told him they’d “make it right” and that they’d bring more food……guess who never showed up. This is the last thing someone should have had to worry about on their wedding day. They then tried blaming everything on the bride and groom and didn’t take any responsibility themselves for their awful service and broken promises. If you want to end up having to order pizzas to feed the rest of your guests like this bride and groom had to do, then sure….give them a shot, but I would highly advise against it. Awful, Awful, Awful. They should really be ashamed of themselves. Customer service can make or break a company, your lack there of was appalling at best. DO NOT USE

I hired them to cater my wedding on 09/17/2022. Upon hiring them I told them there would be a full kitchen at their disposal to keep food hot ect. I paid almost 1,200 dollars for this food. They show up and set up, myself being the bride, I was the first person to get food. It was maybe lukewarm at best, so I know by the time all of my guest got through the line it was more than cold. The chicken was dry even with the bbq sauce, the white buns were hard as a rock, the “roasted potatoes” were actually country fried potatoes and completely burnt i mean black as can be. The Mac and cheese was over cooked and completely congealed together and lacked any type of taste. I was so embarrassed with how little my guest ate due to no one finding cold and bland food appealing. (Rightfully so as I ate only the salad on my plate) my second mother approached the owner that was there and he said to give him a call the next week. So she called and his wife said to keep on him as the owner tends to procrastinate and that he would want to hear from me personally. I have called, left voicemail, sent an email and even reached out via Facebook messenger. I have had multiple others call on my behalf to no response. I have been I feel more professional in this situation than the owner. I feel taken advantage of for being too kind and feel some refund is due also for the fact that the food they didn’t use they took with them and I have never heard of that. I didn’t want to leave a negative review but I feel I have been left no other option than to be heard this way.

Northside BarbaQ was hired to cater our wedding. We had agreed that we needed food for 200 people, but didn’t have enough to even serve 120. When contacted, we were told that since we did it buffet style that is why there wasn’t enough. Only 120 buns were brought and the food was cold. We were told someone from the restaurant was coming back out to our venue but no one ever showed. We were not given even a partial refund, and had to order pizzas to feed our guests. The food was good when we went for the tasting, but sadly I was very disappointed at my wedding.

My son and daughter in law hired Northside BarbaQ to cater their wedding. They went and had a tasting and absolutely loved the food and were so excited to have them cater there wedding. They ordered 2 meats and 2 sides and Cole slaw for topping the pulled pork sandwich for 200 people. First they were late and food was served 45 mins late. Second it was cold and they only brought 120 bun. The bride emailed the week before to confirm time, place and 200 servings. They guest count was 125-130 so she intentionally ordered 200 servings so they would not run out of food. They were called when it was obvious there wasnt enough food and they did nothing. They have been called by several people and have basically blamed everyone else for their mistake. My son wasnt looking for a refund just the food that was ordered. They never even apologized. They should be ashamed of themselves for the way the treated a bride and groom on there special day.

My family and I ate here Sat night. Between all of us, we tried all appetizers. They were all fantastic. There were 6 of us eating. Everyone of us had different meals. All of us were totally satisfied. The service was wonderful. Very fun and relaxed atmosphere. Another one of Oregon Illinois yummy restaurants.

Never again…my brisket sandwich had some meat I had to pull out..to hard to eat. The 2 dollar beans where 4 tablesoons of open the can of Campbell’s. Not smoked, no meat, no flavor. My husband hated his pork sandwhich..no flavor, very little smoke, not tender. The place was nothing in design. Signage outside was bad. It was dingy and dirty inside. We won’t be back!

Horrible service. This facility was used to cater a wedding I attended and the food was all cold and not enough was brought. Food to serve 200 was ordered and barely enough to feed 100 was brought. The groom was told that your facility would “make it right” and they never came out to correct the issue. Then, to make matters even worse, they told the father of the bride that “if they would have served it, there would have been enough food”. That is totally unacceptable. If you provide a buffet style service, then YOU need to be prepared. Also, if you tell someone you are going to make it right, then I highly suggest you do so. To summarize, COLD FOOD, NOT WHAT THEY PAID FOR and HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Food was great the homemade peach sauce is wonderful. Husband said he has a new favorite BBQ place. We will be back need to try brisket next time. Owner was great, friendly and nice charting with him. Had the place to yourselves.
