So I was kinda hesitant going in because the parking lot was empty. Figure no cars must not be good food. Talked to the owner when we went inside. She said when there are no cars outside ppl don’t come. I admitted to almost leaving for that reason. But i was glad we stayed. Got a nice crock of French onion soup. Was so yummy the cheese pull was serious. Ordered a california wrap and disco fries. Let me tell you about those fries. OMG crispy and covered in gravy and cheese which was delicious! My sister got a gyro. We both was so full but couldn’t stop eating the fries.

The Northfield Dinner is a great place to eat! Great service in a clean, quite and comfortable environment and the food was amazing! I had the hot Ruben it was delicious with golden brown fries!! Strongly recommend checking them out.

I got their Chicken and Waffles and can I just say that the chicken was actually really good and seasoned lol. It was a little dry though, but I almost couldnt stop eating it. The down side was the spicy syrup.. It.. tasted off to me. It didnt stop me from eating it lol but, i feel like the chicken and Waffles would of been better if i go their gravy instead of the spicy syrup. I will try it again 🙂 (The picture is on my plate.)

Can’t review the food because we did not get that far. We decided to try it here and stopped in looking forward to a good diner meal. Not too many cars in the parking lot so we figured we should get great service. Walked in and there were three occupied tables and no employees in sight. We waited a little bit and no one came out. Looked over at the tables and they appeared to be looking for their server. We hung out for a few and looked at the neat old photos on the walls. Still no one came out so we called it and headed to a diner in Somers Point.

Food was nothing special. I didn’t like home fries at all. Service was kind of slow even with an empty place. They have an espresso machine but they don’t have cappuccino. Pastry and desert fridge were empty. The servers are polite though.

Most of the food is great, just lately, there’s been very slow service. I understand they need help. However, it shouldn’t take a half hour to get drinks and flatware. Not going to stop eating there, but may take a little hiatus.

Do not get desserts. Old or made with bad ingredients. Baklava tasted like bad nuts used. Cheesecake in the case had mold at one point. Another time cheesecake had chunks of cream cheese.

The food is excellent but they definitely need to hire more staff! We have been there 3 or 4 times now and everytime there is one person waiting tables. We were there this past Sunday for lunch. It was busy and it was just the owner and one waitress waiting tables. Naturally there was excessive wait times due to the short staffing. It would have been a much better experience had there been enough staff.
