Whitby Smokehouse is an absolute must-visit for anyone craving authentic, top-tier barbecue. The brisket here is truly the star of the show. It boasts that elusive, perfect tenderness—it literally melts in your mouth—with a rich, deep smoke ring and incredible flavor. It’s the kind of meat that sets the standard for great BBQ.
To accompany the main event, the cornbread is the ideal side. It’s moist, flavorful, and, critically, not too sweet, allowing it to complement the savory smokiness of the meat perfectly without overpowering it.
From the first bite of the brisket to the last crumb of cornbread, this place delivers a fantastic, authentic BBQ experience. Highly recommended!
We will definitely come back here!
We got their cheese fries, a pound of brisket (fatty side), and a pound of honey garlic chicken wings.
Portions are great. We weren’t overly full when all was said and done.
The star of the show was the beef brisket. It hit that balance of being fatty, tender, and flavourful without being overly oily/greasy. You can also choose lean side if you wanted to.
It’s a must get item.
I prefer this brisket over the ones at horndawgs, and chainsmoker. However I think Bennys is still my favourite.
The chicken wings were great too, and they had a great Smokey taste to them. The sauce was generous, but I wouldn’t tell people to go out of their way for the chicken wings.
The cheese fries were a pleasant surprise. They were crispy and saucy, but not overly salty. Better than any cheese fries you’d get at New York fries.
It’s your typical southern barbecue joint. You can order meat by the pound, or do platters or sandwiches.
They’ve got a wide variety of meats available too.
Staff is super friendly and chatty when you get in.
Location is a converted house. It’s pretty no frills, but it’s clean and that’s all that matters.
Cost wise, adding in 2 sodas it was about $70 total , which is average for most southern style bbq places.
Expensive vut worth it.
Service was good.
The cherry on top? The top tier service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they serve, which you don’t get to see often anymore.
Honestly, this place isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience. If they ever open in Mississauga, I’ll be the first one through the door and probably never leave ;-). The restaurant severes a 20/10.
