Northampton Wine has been a mainstay in downtown Greenville for as long as I can remember. First, the wine shop is very nice. They have many options for all varietals. If they don’t have it, they can recommend something as good if not better. They staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Second, the café is fantastic. One of our all time favorites is the Hot Chili Seafood. It is sweet, spicy, crispy, tender, just a flavor bomb. They have different specials but all the menu is very good. Do not forget dessert. They bread pudding is one of the best I have ever had.

My first time dining here. I came upon it by accident. The feel is more a wine store with tables nestled within racks and rows of wine. So unique! I enjoyed the atmosphere, felt more secluded. Who doesn’t want to be surrounded by so many tasty wines?! I came here with friends and we indulged in the Brie. The cherries are so spectacular! The cheese was super tasty too, but the cherries were memorable. I had the salmon with greens and couscous. This dish has taken first place in my heart for favorite salmon dish I have tasted to date. Perfectly cooked, moist, yummy! Tried a bottle of the Ancien Pinot Noir…wow! The wine was smooth and had good body; put this on my list of favorites too. Service was excellent. Food was beyond delicious. Prices are reasonable when taking into consideration all these elements. I’m bragging about this place already to my friends. I will be back to enjoy other dishes, because now my interest is piqued.

Amazing restaurant in Greenville! High quality service, excellent food! Everything tasted better than we expected! The baked brie appetizer is award winner! The black angus was just perfect! Both the ice-cream and chocolate mousse desserts tasted delicious! With a huge wine collection, they encourage you to pick your own wine bottles, from which they will serve you at the table. They will pack the unfinished bottles for you to take home. We will go back, when we’ll be back in Greenville.

Wonderful dinner — served by a waitress (Sydney H.) who clearly did not want to be there. Moreover, we were celebrating a birthday which had been thoroughly explained at the time the reservations were made — and yet no mention was made, no salutary well-wishes were offered to the birthday girl. I’ve had more warmth, expressive greetings, and cheery communications with window staff at a Zaxby’s drive-thru. Not worth my return visit. Too many other fine-dining options in Greenville.

Shame. Love this place but the gentleman hosting for the evening was painfilly inhospitable. Even the owner does not have the privilege to mistreat patrons this way. We overlooked it because the server was just so great. But, seriously, if you are not up to welcoming your guests then maybe you should be back in the kitchen helping out there.

My wife and I love this place. We expected good wine and good service (which we did get) but the food was amazing. When we left the restaurant, the thing that stuck with me was the food. We will definitely be back!

We reserved a table and were told we had to reserve an inside table but they would make sure to get us outside. When we arrived we were told that we couldn’t sit outside because of the possibility of rain. We looked at the forecast and it was not supposed to rain so we pushed to sit outside as there were other people sitting outside and tables available. We were then told it was too much on the staff to service outside. Ultimately we wound up sitting near some sort of radiator and had to hear annoying gurling and releasing from some sort of check valve. The indoor ambience is terrible with outdated carpet and leaning boxes everywhere. Food is delicious, just wont be back to spend so much on a meal at a place that doesn’t care about making their customers happy.

We had a wonderful meal here. I had a very flavorful steak and another in our party had the grilled trout which was perfect. Great selection of wine.
