The place is small got a few tables
Price
The price is decent, we ordered for 4 adult 4 kids, it was like $114 very reasonable priced!
Service was quick, we ordered carry out, we were told 35min, when we got there we were greeted and food were ready to go!
Taste
The steak was good, the steak + shrimp were good! The fry were amazing! Very goo portion!
I live local, so I occasionally will randomly eat here. More consistently, their junior devil burrito has made it onto my Lenten Friday food rotation. Their devil burrito has a generous portion of shrimps and a spicy sauce. It is delicious, but I always order the junior because the spice gets to me and I could never finish a full burrito with that heat.
Lately, I tried one of their specials – the spicy burria Tapatio ramen. I have mixed feelings about it. I always get take out here because the dining area is small and the staff has never been the friendliest. And I was pleased that the restaurant had separated the broth apart from everything else (so it did not get soggy). I also liked the good sized portion of burria they included. What I did not like is how super spicy the ramen and broth were. I struggled to finish it.
If you do try their spicy burria Tapatio ramen, then you should know that the restaurant just adds to a pre-existing cup of ramen that you can buy at Walmart for about $2. I was not upset about this because the restaurant is pretty transparent about what you are getting. But I really do wish that they gave you the option of choosing the spice level – since Tapatio makes original flavor and even burria flavored cups of ramen. I feel this is a missed opportunity.
They also have a Monday tamales special. I tried both the chicken and pork offerings. The chicken tamale was perfect, especially with some of the provided green sauce. The pork tamale was too salty, for my taste, and the pork itself was dry.
This will continue to be an occasional eat out place for me. The spicy burria Tapatio ramen will likely not move the needle. For $10 it was a nice novelty, but definitely a one and done. Their junior devil burrito will continue to be my go to order. And I can only hope the staff gets friendlier.
My husband got the grilled fish tacos and a junior chicken burrito. He really liked the tacos but was not a fan of the shredded chicken. He liked everything else though and said he would likely get a veggie burrito next time. We actually took a garden veggie burrito to go for my sister and she loved it. We will have to remember to visit again next time we’re in town!
Good selection of meals, combos, appetizers and desserts. The Horchata is soo tasty.
