Absolutely loved my experience at North of Brooklyn Pizzeria! The pizza was fresh, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor.
The crust had that ideal balance crispy on the outside and soft inside just how a great pizza should be.
The ingredients tasted high quality, and you can really tell they care about what they serve. The staff was friendly, quick, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.
If you’re looking for authentic, delicious pizza in Toronto, this is definitely the place to go. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Okay, so this pizza is amazing. It’s been a while since I’ve had a really good pizza and I’m comparing it to another one that I had in Buffalo. This is probably the best pizza in Toronto. It’s a nice thin crust, toppings are distributed evenly, the sauce is seasoned well, it’s cooked perfectly and to top it off it’s a decent size. I do think the price is insanely expensive, but you can’t put a price on perfection! Order their pizza and add a hot honey dip, we are singing! It’s so good! They get super busy, so sometimes ordering on the phone is slower than in person because of the line ups, but the pizza itself is made quickly when ordered. The staff are also very nice to customers and are nice to one another. I think they need a bigger location though, the seating is limited. I think my favourite pizza of theirs is the Green Out, but I’ve had their cheese and truffle shuffle as well. 10/10! Can’t wait to visit again.

It was a unique pizza experience. The pizza itself was absolutely amazing great flavor, perfectly baked crust, and very satisfying overall. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients. The only downside was that the service was not very polite during our visit. But honestly, the food was so good that it still made the experience memorable.

There are a lot of overpriced, mediocre restaurants on Avenue road. This isn’t one of them. North of Brooklyn isn’t cheep but you actually do get what you pay for here. This is actually the best pizza in Toronto. I’ve tried pretty much all the others including the overhyped ones. They don’t even come close. Their crust is crispy but not overcooked, the cheese is amazing and while the variety is limited, they often do various specials. Last night’s was “Sunday gravy” which had beef and fennel sausage ragu sauce. It was almost like the meat sauce from lasagna. Delicious! We usually get the NY Cheese and Vodka Verde. My suggestion is for you to add extra cheese to any pizza you get. The cheese they use is top shelf and always mouth watering. Whatever we don’t eat gets put in the fridge and reheated in our toaster oven. Just as good reheated the next couple of days! As far as the atmosphere, it’s small but has an other room in the basement with seats and cool games. We’ve never eaten here but I want to! So that’s it. I truly hope North of Brooklyn remains as consistently good as it has been for the last 3ish years. I wouldn’t change anything and love their pizza!

North of Brooklyn is one of the most well-known and well-loved pizzerias in the GTA, often being compared to Badiali for their New York style pizzas. I tried two popular topping combinations:

Killer Bee (Medium Pie – 14”) $22
Sauce, Mozzarella, Calabrese Sausage, Jalapeños, Pickled Red Onions, Honey

Truffle Shuffle (Medium Pie – 14”) $22
Mozzarella Blend, Smoked Cheddar, Truffle Cream, Cremini Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions, Chives, Lemon Zest, Black Pepper

Creamy Garlic Dip $1.75

I found the pizza to be underwhelming. There was no crisp, no crunch, no oil / grease — it just felt sand-like to me. The Truffle Shuffle sounded promising to me, but it didn’t have the sophisticated taste nor aroma that I expected. I liked the Killer Bee more since it has meat and sweetness, but it wasn’t anything too amazing.

Overall, I definitely like Badiali’s more than North of Brooklyn, and I can’t justify One Bite Pizza Reviews’ higher rating of North of Brooklyn, as Badiali seems objectively(?) better to me in terms of everything.

Also lol, they gave me a receipt with nothing on it.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time and was in the area so checked it out. We ordered 1/2 margarita and 1/2 New York cheese to try it out and this is the best New York style pizza I’ve had in Toronto. They were both delicious. The dough was amazing with a nice crispy crust, and the garlic cream sauce is a must try. We also tried the garlic knots, which were very tasty.

Service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice and chill. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area and looking for some good pizza.

North of Brooklyn Pizzeria has quickly become one of my favourite pizza spots in Toronto. The crust is thin, chewy, and perfectly blistered, with really flavourful toppings that taste super fresh. Signature pies like the Margherita and mushroom options are all standouts, and the quality is consistently great whether you grab a whole pie or just a slice.

The vibe is casual and laid-back, making it a great place to stop in for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends. Service is friendly and efficient, and even when it’s busy the line moves quickly. Prices are a bit higher than chain pizza, but the flavour, ingredients, and crust easily justify it. If you’re craving proper New York–style pizza in Toronto, North of Brooklyn is absolutely worth the visit.

IMO – Best pizza in the city.
Consistently across all locations, with a small area for dine in seating. No reservations unless for a big group. Our server mentioned there will be seating on the lower floor (basement) eventually.
Lots of parking behind the restaurant.

I will say that the table size is limited to fit a maximum of 1 pizza per table with a appetizer hidden underneath.

These pizzas were amazing! One of my favourite places to get pizza from in Toronto.

I tend to find the veggie pizza options to be nothing special, but these pizzas were delicious!

Great flavours, and the biggest household debate is if the “green out” pizza is superior to the “truffle shuffle”…my vote is yes, but it’s a very close race.
