The service was also a great part of our experience. We were seated right away and our server (I believe her name was Syd or Sydney) was very attentive and always made sure we were good on drinks and took our orders quick.
I recommend coming here for the good food and service!
The lemon drop martini was SO good — perfectly balanced and refreshing. The cheese curds and fried pickles were both incredible (definitely get them if you go!), and their Moscato was delicious too.
The food was delicious, everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality in every bite.
Now shoutout to Amanda because she is a gem! She was so friendly, attentive, and on top of everything, like she somehow knew we needed something before we even asked. Amanda made the whole experience even better and made us feel super taken care of.
We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend North and Maple!
A few weekends ago, I came in honestly not in the best mood. It had been one of those long, draining days where nothing really goes wrong, but everything feels heavy. My friends convinced me to go out anyway, and we ended up at North & Maple. I almost didn’t even want to sit at the bar — but that turned out to be the best decision of the night because Haley was working.
From the second we sat down, she greeted us with this warm, effortless smile that didn’t feel forced or “customer service-y.” It felt real. She asked how our night was going, and when I jokingly said, “It needs help,” she laughed and said, “Don’t worry, I specialize in that.” And somehow… she actually did.
I told her to surprise me with something. Instead of just throwing together a random drink, she asked what flavors I liked, whether I wanted something refreshing or strong, sweet or citrusy. Five minutes later, she set down the most perfectly balanced cocktail I’ve had in a long time. It was light but still had a kick, and it looked beautiful. But what really stood out was that she checked back after my first sip and said, “Be honest — do we need to tweak it?” That attention to detail made it feel personalized.
As the night went on, the bar got busy — really busy. And this is where Haley completely impressed me. She was juggling orders nonstop, shaking drinks, pouring drafts, handling payments — and somehow still maintaining conversations and checking in on everyone. At one point, someone at the other end of the bar accidentally knocked over a drink, and she handled it so calmly and kindly that you’d think it was the easiest thing in the world. No stress. No annoyance. Just grace.
But here’s the part that made the night unforgettable.
Later in the evening, my friends quietly told her it had been a rough week for me (embarrassing, I know). I didn’t realize they had said anything until Haley came over with a small espresso martini and said, “This one’s on me. For turning the week around.” It wasn’t about the free drink — it was the gesture. She remembered. She listened. She cared enough to make a moment out of it.
She even hyped me up in the best way — not in a fake over-the-top way, but in a genuine, “You’ve got this” kind of way. Somehow, in between making what felt like a hundred drinks, she found time to create that little boost of confidence.
By the end of the night, I felt lighter. My friends were laughing, we were talking to people next to us, and the whole atmosphere felt electric. And a huge part of that energy came from her. She sets the tone of the bar. When she’s behind it, the vibe is elevated — fun but classy, lively but comfortable.
What makes Haley different is that she doesn’t just pour drinks — she curates the experience. She pays attention to the details. She reads people. She knows when to joke, when to check in, when to let you enjoy your moment. That emotional awareness is rare in hospitality.
I’ve been to a lot of bars where the drinks are good. But it’s not often you leave thinking, “Wow, that bartender genuinely made my night better.” That’s exactly what happened here.
North & Maple is lucky to have her. And if you ever get the chance to sit at her bar, do it. You might come in tired or stressed like I did — but you’ll leave smiling, with a new favorite drink and probably a better mood than you walked in with.
Haley isn’t just the best bartender at North & Maple — she’s the reason I can’t wait to go back.
