North Italia was amazing from start to finish. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive — truly exceptional.
We enjoyed the Hot Honey Smokes Prosciutto pizza, Little Gem Caesar salad, chopped chicken salad, burrata di stagioni, and the grilled bread with great olive oil. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The prosciutto pizza and burrata were outstanding!
And I have to mention the Sweater Weather cocktail — OMG! Spicy, hot, and absolutely perfect for a chilly day. A must-have drink if you visit during the winter season!
The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the location is beautiful, making the whole experience even better.
Highly recommend North Italia for anyone looking for superb food, great cocktails, and excellent service. I will definitely be returning!
The pasta dishes are hearty and very filling, and the salads are fresh and delicious. My daughter always gets the pizza, and she loves it every time.
The only thing to note is that it’s a bit pricey for Italian, but the quality and atmosphere help balance it out. Overall, a wonderful place for a special meal or night out. Highly recommend!
Open kitchen was dirty as well.
Our hostess, Kearstin was awesome, she was attentive to each person’s order and pleasant. Wine selection was great as well.
Will I return- definitely No!
Food & Drinks:
Everything we ordered was spot on! The White Truffle Garlic Bread was rich, buttery, and packed with flavour. The Crispy Eggplant Parmesan was golden and perfectly layered & a must try. We tried two pizzas — Funghi and Hot Honey & Smoked Prosciutto — both baked to perfection with balanced toppings.
The Trottole Chicken Pesto Pasta was creamy and flavorful, while the Strozzapreti Pasta brought in authentic Italian comfort. A bottle of wine and a Jump Start completed the table beautifully.
Service & Ambience:
Service was smooth and friendly — attentive without being intrusive. The staff managed our group effortlessly. The overall atmosphere had that chic, modern charm with just the right hint of Austin buzz.
Final Verdict:
A wonderful dining experience with vibrant energy, great food, and perfect location vibes. Whether it’s a casual weekday dinner or a weekend night out.
A definite yes for repeat visits!
Got lucky with no wait at North Italia but did not last long where shortly after a line formed. The food here is consistently good and for lunch ordered the Chopped Chicken salad. Their service was great but felt the place was a little cramped with too many table settings. The salad was really good and had a very nice flavor with some unique ingredients. The chicken had wonderful seasoning to it and all together was a healthy option for the day.
The service was okay. Our waiter had a pretty easy job, we ordered our things immediately and he answered a question or two we had about the menu. We didn’t have our water glasses refilled until we were done with our entire meal and ready to pack it up to go, which isn’t the biggest deal but the restaurant was pretty empty at dinner time. The food, likewise, was okay. We ordered the white truffle garlic bread, spaghetti and meatballs, and spicy rigatoni vodka. The best part of everything was the white truffle garlic bread. We got it without the white truffle but the ricotta with the bread was delicious and a great way to start the meal. Unfortunately, everything after that was very much bland or not quite there. The spaghetti and meatballs didn’t taste like anything you can’t make at home with a bit of cooking knowledge and the spicy rigatoni vodka had so many different textures that the entire meal felt uneven. The rigatoni was al dente, the sauce was thin, the meat had different textures with different bites. Just very underwhelming.
For what it is, North Italia isn’t bad. However, if you’re looking for a good Italian dinner you can get better at Taverna or even Maggiano’s where the setting and food are better for the same or lower cost. Maybe other dishes are better and we can try another time, we just weren’t wowed here, especially after looking at the final bill.
Izzy was amazing! Even though the restaurant was super busy, our server was absolutely amazing! She stayed friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. You could tell she was juggling a lot, but she handled it with such professionalism and a great attitude. Truly appreciated her effort — she made our experience wonderful!
